I'm having trouble adjusting to Brienne, because when I read the books I picture her as Coach Bieste from Glee.

I can't wait. I feel like it's been forever since last season!
Also, I'm debating - should I read the books or will they ruin the show for me like the True Blood ones did?
The books are so damned good. SO GOOD. I was reading them in tandem but i had to find out what was happening so i went ahead and read them all.
did I mention how goooood they are?
The only character that doesn't work for me is Brienne. That's not how I pictured her...I pictured her being a large woman buxom woman with very large rounded features and a horsey mouth. And long thivk hair that's always in a braid. Sort of a real life girl-Shrek
And mellisandre should be more red, not rust.

Brienne doesn't look anything like I pictured her. Was she supposed to be blonde? I always pictured her as a brunette.
I've only been able to see the first episode, but I'm reading the books and kinda stuck on book 4 because it's boring me with all these characters that I really don't care about.
How far into the books did they go on the tv show? Are they doing a whole book per season?
