As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

No plans for Fat Tuesday, although I usually eat a paczkis or two
I usually give up chocolate or something like that for lent. I was thinking wine, but I honestly don't think i could do that...

Are you giving up anything for Lent? I'm not Catholic, so I usually don't.
If you participate in Lent, do you eat fish on Fridays? DH is Catholic, so we don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent. Well, I don't eat meat when I'm having a meal with him.
Neither of us eat fish, so we usually stick to cheese pizza, grilled cheese, pasta with marinara, eggs, etc...

Any plans for Fat Tuesday? It's spring (or winter?) break so no class, and I may not even have to work that day! Hooray! My friend has a band concert that night and I may go... we'll see.
Do you eat paczkis? I've had them before but don't go out of my way to get one.
Are you giving up anything for Lent? Yes, meat. It's hard to give up something like sweets because DH's birthday is St. Patrick's day so I want to be able to celebrate! (However, he planned to make corned beef for his birthday.. and now we may wait until Easter)
If you participate in Lent, do you eat fish on Fridays? Yes. I've never given up meat entirely before, usually it's just meat-less Fridays with fish&chips or breaded tilapia with lime (from Costco) for dinner. This year it'll be no meat except fish!

If you participate in Lent, do you eat fish on Fridays? I don't really participate since I am no longer religious, but I do often give up somethign because it never hurts to test yourself
Honestly, I totally agree with this. Despite the religious aspect - giving up something that you think "I can't live without!" for X number of days is a great way to push yourself.

If you participate in Lent, do you eat fish on Fridays? Yes, I can't wait to eat fried fish! My secret Inner Fat Girl confession- once I realized I'd be pregnant during Lent, I've been looking forward to eating fried fish every Friday and not feeling guilty!
