I just want to stuff my face with cookies, chocolate and ice cream followed by some cheap sparkling wine. I instead worked out made a (semi) healthy smoothie and cried in the shower. Blehh!
It's definitely been one of those days.
How's everyone elses Valentine's Day?

Re: Pity party for one
I'm sorry. I hope tomorrow is a better day!
I spent my birthday at work all day. Boring and long.
Then H bought me new running shoes, dinner, and a massage gift certificate and it made all better.

Ooooooh!! Happy Birthday!!
Yay for running shoes and double yay for a massage! I've been (not so) nonchalantly hinting I want one. I think I'll just give in and buy my own.
Hugs sweetie!
I'm chilling on the couch with a wet cold wash cloth in a zip lock bag shoved down my pants on my rash. It feels SOOO good.
My 89 year old patient brought me chocolates today. It was sweet. My husband brought me chocolate and 2 mini rose bushes that smell amazing. When I got home he had more chocolate, a card and that blooming flower from halmark for me. He is so sweet. Love him.
He's in class tonight though so its just me, my cold wash cloth and my doggies.
Hope your night gets better

I read that! That is SO sweet! The doctor I work for is ALWAYS bringing in good foreign chocolate and he brought me some fudge today (it was heavenly), but it wasn't for Valentine's Day specifically.
Him and his wife are too cute. Their offices are conjoined by a common meeting room. They've been married for almost 40 years and he still randomly goes to say hi and give her a kiss throughout the day. (He's old school Russian so to see a 'soft side' is nice)
I asked them if they were doing anything tonight and he said no that he hates Valentine's Day, because men think they only have to be nice/over the top on one day out of the whole year. That made me laugh.
Thank you : ) My hinting was pretty straight-forward. He can never go wrong buying me a massage. If I were rich, I'd get one everyday. ha ha

Happy birthday, Gumby!
Marie, if I were you I'd totally stuff my face. I mean, it's Valentine's Day. You are supposed to eat unhealthy today!
H got me a heart shaped pizza from my favorite pizzeria, some flowers, a bottle of Johnnie Walker Double Black and Breaking Dawn pt.1.
I got him boxers with hearts on them (lol), a Mario shirt, The Hunger Games trilogy for Kindle and Robot Chicken Season 5.
It was a good day.

I'm joining the pity party!
H is deployed and "forgot" to send me anything or even acknowledge the holiday, even though every other guy in his squadron managed to send their wives at the very least some flowers. He has access to the internet, he has no excuse. And then we couldn't even skype.
Plus I had to work like 9 hours today and hear "Happy Valentine's Day" 50 trillion times. F that, I'm drinking.
I'm sorry!
I got a text saying happy Valentine's Day (he's TDY) and that was it. I didn't want flowers, but a $3 card would have been nice. He's now out 'with the guys being a DD'. I'm pissed because I'm having a mini-breakdown and he's out having fun, on V-day, without me. Pathetic for feeling this way? Yes, yes it is.
On top of it I'm can't even log into FB without all the gag worthy posts about Vday.
Yeah, I'm boycotting FB too. I'm going to a spouse meeting later this week, and I feel like I'm going to be the only one who got jack *** for Valentine's. That makes me sad.
It's not pathetic to feel this way. Being apart sucks.
