Well, our Valentine's was postponed, but that's ok. Derek ended up having to work late and didn't get home until 7:30. Not very conducive to making lasagna from scratch together. So, we had egg mcmuffin style sandwiches and watched TV!
Tonight we actually start out prenatal classes. We were supposed to start last week, but the instructor was sick.
Oh! I found out that the show Derek and Tim are taking Shannon and I to is Potted Potter. "All seven Harry Potter books in seventy hilarious minutes". I'm excited!
How is everyone today?

I'm excited that we were able to buy this morning tickets to the French Open in June! A long weekend in Paris and some great tennis sounds like a good plan to me.
Otherwise, it was a quiet night last night. We made dinner together and then watched a bit of tv before going to bed early.
I have my second beta test tonight, and then tomorrow we have to catch an early train to go north to Sheffield to get our visas renewed. How in the world has it been 3 years here already??!

Last night I worked late and then was on call. I did only get one call so that was good. I came home and DH had done dishes and had a very sweet card for me some chocolates (mini eggs and a creme egg) so that was nice. We spent some cuddly time on the couch but he leaves tonight until Saturday afternoon which makes me sad.
He made me a check off list for pills, food and litter for the cats so that I don't forget anything while he's gone. Winston gets 3 pills throughout the day, litter gets changed twice and we usually feed them twice. Honestly, I only take care of 2 of the pills throughout the day and he does the rest so I need to reminder so I don't forget
Today is another late shift for me but at least I'm not on call tonight AND I managed to get tomorrow off so that I don't work the 8 days in a row I was scheduled. Woohoo. I might go looking for a shower outfit tomorrow.
I spent Valentines day in bed with the dog. S went to spend the night with his brother in the hospital. He's starting to get better and should be released Friday, but it's still a really long road. His chemo requires surgery.
Today we're spending the night with our niece and nephew so it'll be a big family sleepover. I'm kind of looking forward to it, though I'm not sure what we're going to do for dinner with the kiddos. My niece has a lots allergies so I don't want to kill her.
Also I'm pretty excited to share some fun news in bumps and babies!

We also ordered Chinese takeout for dinner last night. Kyle worked late so it worked out well for us. I spent some time cleaning the house since the plumber was there yesterday morning. We now have a working toilet and sink though. Yay! Otherwise we watched Glee and some other stuff on the DVR.
Tonight I'm hosting Top Chef/wine night. I'm thinking about doing tacos for dinner so I might serve margaritas instead of wine. Decisions, decisions, right?
Good morning! Last night was fine--we went to the gym, which feels like a big accomplishment these days. I was done first, so I went home and started dinner. After that, we chatted and relaxed.
Today will hopefully be quiet at work? Yesterday something blew up that I didn't know about (thanks to being left off an email chain), but I was happily thrown under the bus anyway. I didn't even care--as crazy as it is here, none of these people are that intimidating. Kicker of the day was that the person who hired me told me to try to get out as soon as I could before it got worse.
Tonight I'm on my own--I plan on hitting the gym again and calling my dad b/c it's his birthday.

Hi everyone.
Yesterday I left work at 5 (!) which is super early for me, so Jon and I could swing by a neighborhood chocolate shop and cheese shop. Dinner was exactly that - cheese (an amazing mid-aged gouda), chocolate and wine. I could do that once a week, easily. It was nice to stay in for V-Day! Jon got me a jacket I had been drooling over at the mall last week, and tix to Les Mis next month. I still get so excited for this show everytime I go, and Jon has never been - I hope he loves it as much as I do. We also watched the first two episodes of Smash. Has anyone else been watching? I'm really enjoying it!
Tonight Jon is scouting a game and won't be home til late. I will workout, have an easy dinner, and VACUUM. Ellie is shedding her winter coat and it is EVERYWHERE, even after multiple brushings. I have to lock her out of my dressing room while I'm getting ready or else my black pants look white if she so much as brushes past me after I'm dressed.
Last night was good. Dh got me a really sweet card and a balloon. He also got me a new digitial camera but I don't like it so I am going to be returning it. After the kids went to bed and I got everything cleaned up I got a good work out in. I also made treat bags for Jordan's bday party on sunday. I am glad I got a head start on that.
Today is an extra busy day. I am leaving work early because both boys have a dentist appointment. Since I am taking a half day I really need to work hard this morning...and I just don't have the motivation.

Last night's musical was so much fun. I would really like to see more things like that. Since the tickets were our gift I was surprised with cake and an orchid! Now I hope I don't kill it. Dh was also surprised by the card I made him. I took all the places we've been and made a sort of subway sign with them. He read the front and said "wow we've been to ... oh wait we've been to all these places. You made this?" It felt really nice. I've been missing the get creative and make things part of my life.

hiya! we had a good V-day. Sean got me a super awesome card that had caveman talk in it. things like "you soft," "you think good," and "you pretty like flower" in it. and of course, he wrote a sweet little note in it. I was totally shocked because he is NOT the card giving type at all.
tonight we're taking my dad out for dinner for his birthday... if he ever decides where he wants to go. he's been grumpy pants and stressed out due to work lately, so he's being a huge PITA.

Good morning, ladies.
I told DH I felt bad that he got me a gift and I didn't get him anything. We don't really do VDay (he calls it 'spouse obligation day'). He said he just thought I needed a lift and wanted to do something nice. We did go out to lunch, which was a complete disaster. We ended up getting two extra meals to go, and it was all free, so it turned out ok.

My evening started out quite, I got in a good workout and we grabbed some sandwich's from a local deli and settled into watch some TV. We knew J's friend was going to propose to his girlfriend last night so we were both waiting for an OMG we're engaged text, however we ended up getting an OMG we're engaged knock on the door! It was great to see both of them so happy and excited. We opened a bottle of champagne and celebrated with them for a little bit.
No major plans for today just work, a few errands, and a good workout . Have a fantastic day ladies!
Today should be good, this evening is going to be CRAZY busy but that is okay.
Today is my first day at my new job! It's also my first day of a commute with two buses, so I'm hoping all goes well.
I'll try to stay in touch! I need to figure out office policies, etc..
My heart is heavy today. Our mom board had a loss on Monday. The daycare went in to check on the babies, and her son was face down in the crib, already blue. The autopsy showed it was just a freak accident and most likely SIDS. He was 5 1/2 months old. I snuggled Jackson really close yesterday and didn't mind that he was up all night. I just cried rocking him last night, while he stroked my face. I love how babies know when you need them most.
I did have a good Valentine's Day with the hubs, though. He got home early and his his car so I wouldn't know he was there. I walked in to find a candlelit dinner in my living room, with roses and a sappy card to go with it. We just talked and lounged on the couch, with a good movie. We watched Zookeeper with Kevin James. Highly recommend for anyone who likes funny animal movies.
I'm off to try and get through another day of work.
Oh Snoopy. Sad sad sad. I'm so sorry to hear that.
My V-day was uneventful. I saw DH for about 10 minutes before he left for work so basically a hug and kiss, which was fine with me.
Today I'm home. My mother had other obligations this morning so I didn't have anyone to watch the boys. I am currently laying on the couch listening to the boys and praying they actually take a nap.
Tonight I'm hoping for snuggle time with DH once the boys are in bed.
Snoopy that is so sad. I saw your post on FB and figured it was a nestie. What a devastating thing to happen. I can't even imagine.
Last night was nice and low key for us. We did our usual and watched our DVR shows rather than a movie. DH and I also had a talk about needing to spend some time alone together to connect as a couple.
Today is work and catching up on our tv shows tonight. I know I need to do laundry too so I'll have to squeeze that in.
Josh worked til 1 am yesterday so Jordan and I had our own V-day celebration. he made dinner it was a bowl of tomato soup for me and 3 cheese hot dogs for himself. he was so proad of himself that he did it all by himself. Plus i loved him enough to not tell him my soup was ice cold cause it is the thought that counts right?.
Josh is working super late again tonight so I will probly just veg on the couch and hang out with my super cool stepson.
