Publius' reaction: if NYC is that much less expensive than Geneva maybe I should give it a second thought as a possible place to go if we ever move back to the US.

I have this prejudice that NYC is soooooo expensive no way could I ever afford to live there, yet I live in London so perhaps my thinking makes no sense.
Also a bit shocked London is only tied for 17.

We used to go to London for shopping trips when we lived in Geneva because it seemed so cheap to us. I guess it's all relative.

Yowza! Would never had guessed how expensive Australia was. And that was one of our relocation choices (well, Canberra...).
