Cancun Hotel Recs
There is a group of us (about 6 couples (35-40 years old)) taking a trip to Cancun in July.
Our criteria is that the budget for the trip is about $2k including airfare (Couples traveling from NY area and from South East), All-Inclusive, multiple restaurants/bars, nice pool area, nice beach area and if we feel like venturing out one day we are close enough to the Hotel Zone in Cancun.
We have been doing some research on hotels and have narrowed it down to 3
RIU Palace Las Americas
GR Caribe by Solaris Deluxe All-Inclusive
Gran Caribe Real Resort & Spa
Do any of you have any experience with these hotels?

Since you aren't getting many responses, i thought I'd chime in... I wanted to go to Riu, DH said no. We were looking at the travel photos on trip advisor and he said he "wasn't feeling it" I dont know why. The reviews were good, pics looked good. Don't know what his deal was. My suggestion if your dead set on those hotels...go to trip advisor and post on those forums. I've see a few of those hotels mentioned lately. Here is a link....hopefully it will work....

I haven't been to those, but if you want the best beach, you might want to check out the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach. Here's a link to my review:

Here is my review of Dreams. Its an AI (only way to go in IMO), and DH and really like it, we've been three times. We are just trying somewhere different this year, not because we didn't like Dreams, we just wanted something different. And I priced Dreams on cheapcaribbean and for 7 nights, with air, ocean view for two people it was only $2700!

We enjoyed our stay at Gran Caribe Real.
I posted a review here sometime in Sept/Oct time frame, as well as on tripadvisor. We went in early Sept 2011 with DH, our 2 little kids and their grandparents.
