I wanna hear about the train wreck wedding! What happened?
Re: **karimychel**
Cliff notes version: no marriage license on wedding day and Priest refuses to marry them, bride falls on dance floor no one notices, bride goes into the bathroom works herself into hysterics and puking. The garter toss and bouquet toss never happened. Most guest don't know what the hell happened.
Long version for your amusement:
I woke up to a frantic call from the groom at 7am asking if I knew a justice of the peace or if my brother who is a police officer had any way to get an emergancy marriage license or same day license.
They forgot to pick up their marriage license. The priest of the church was refusing to marry them in the church without it.
Call back at noon and crisis is adverted by them going up and down the chain with Priests, etc. deal was that at the end of the ceremony the priest announced that this was a civil ceremony and that the bride and groom would be married Monday. They had to change all of their honeymoon tickets (they were supposed to leave Sunday morning) and arrange a time to meet the priest first thing Monday to be married. It cost a small fortune to make the changes.
Fast forward to the reception it was going lovely, speeches were great, her 4 year old son got up and did a toast and a joke, etc.. Then the cake cutting went on and it seemed most people didn't know it happened, no announcement from the band, etc. kind of like they were hiding something.
Immediately following I try to go to the bathroom and the bridesmaids have it blocked off. Bride finds out its me and wants to talk to me. Wanted to know who all saw her fall on the dance floor and if everyone thought she was drunk. I had no idea how much she had to drink, but she had seemed fine before that. I told her I had no idea it happened, we tried to fix her makeup and get her back out there because she wanted to do a bouquet/garter toss. But she lost it. She ruined their wedding, oh how could she do that..goes on.
Finally we kinda of announce the bride and groom left, get most of the people gone except family and close friends and help clean up. After everyone leaving, we get her in the elevator out and she pukes everywhere. Groom had rented the nicest suite in the city for them that night and we were all supposed to go back there for champagne. Obviously that didn't go down.
I got a text that he was officially married and headed out on the delayed honeymoon. I can't wait to get him alone and get the rest of the behind the scenes stories!
Wow. That's all pretty bad on her part.
And how do you forget to pick up the marriage license??!
