Last night

We ran into a friend we haven't seen in 2 years. Or ex friend. We cut ties to her and another friend when I was pregnant with Dagger. We felt she had a toxic lifestyle and both of them had done hurtful things. It was hard because both were long term friends of Mr. Winged. Anyway she made a reference to seeing Kiss with them (our last time together) being the big kiss off. And that the other friend has been devastated. It was so awkward. And then she asked about Dagger and her BF holds up his phone and says "here's my baby". Yeah it was her in lingerie on a bed. So just when we were feeling bad about the loss of friendship we were reminded why we cut her out of our lives. Who does that? All of her BFs are swinger pervs. That's who.

Re: Last night

  • You have some very mischievous friends - or rather, ex friends.

    11/11/11 = 5 years. Woah!
  • Last night, she said:
"Oh, baby, I feel so down.
    Oh it turns me off,
    When I feel left out"

    So I walked out:
"Oh, baby, don't care no more
    I know this for sure,
    I'm walkin' out that door"

  • Is she still married then?

  • Seriously dude, you know the weirdest people.

I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
  • I hope that the regret of not having them in your life doesn't send you into a shame spiral. It sounds like you are really missing out.
  • She sounds lovely. I'm glad her bf reminded you why you dropped her!

  • Oh no. This isn't the cheater friend. She was my friend. This is mr. Winged's friend. I know bethie! That's why we dropped them. Now my friends are all boring. Btw, she met her current BF at a burning man type event. Lolz

Well she does! I've known one swinger in my life, and he was a coworker. And gross. And weird.

  • Oh well I don't know he's a swinger. I just assume that anyone who shows you a picture of their SO like that would be.
  • I've never known a swinger or at leather never known anyone willing to admit it. ETA: leather seems an oddly appropriate autocorrect thing here so I'm sticking with it.

  • I want all those women out there who are befuddled that once their friends have kids they don't hear from them anymore to read this thread.

  • Yeesh....that musta been awkward. Sorry Winged. But on the bright side, you never have to wonder if you made the right choice about that friend or not. It's always nice to get a confirmation later on that you dropped someone for the right reasons. lol. I hate that nagging feeling in the back of your mind when you're not sure. Sounds like you definitely made the right move.

  • I have friends who are swingers. I don't care that they're swingers. As long as they don't expect B and I to swing. I'm not sure what the big deal is. I guess if it offends your morality or you didn't like them that much to begin with. Maybe I'm missing some of the story?? Why does the swinging affect you? I mean, I'm not into swinging but it's not like it doesn't happen a decent amount. I call them the "key party" crowd- people with too much money and too much time on their hands.
  • I should add that I also know a lot of weird people but I prefer the weirder the better to pearl clutchers. I like people with a story or twelve. I gravitate to the Kramer of any group.
  • TSD I don't knowif either is a swinger. But regardless the reason for defriending was due to a variety of reasons: inviting questionable people into our home with no notice, throwing parties while house sitting, drugs being brought into our home.

Oh. Well all of that is definite grounds for defriending. I'm super territorial about my house and boundaries of that nature. I would flip my shiit if other people invited questionable randoms to my house & threw F'ING PARTIES! How old are they? That's really weird. Like when Kirby Keger threw that party at Mr Kim's to impress Dale Beaverman. Bad news. Swinging is nothing compared to that.

I'm the only one who can invite questionable randoms into my home.
