  That's one thing I've never been able to do, and I'm thankful for it.

  my issue as well... memory is too good on the card front. I can leave them at home and still spend money.

  I need to do this.  We are putting in the final paper work for a personal loan that will combine my car payment and pay off one credit card and part of another.  We'll have a much better interest rate and more cash to pay down the higher interest card.  We need to buckle down and get these paid off.  I confess that at this point I'm more to blame than Joel because he's been doing a great job at not splurging on things whereas I have been struggling to pass up good deals lately.  I've made Alex's birthday my deadline for spending, we're going to get him a few things, nothing too crazy and then after that I'm on a spending freeze to get our cards paid down.  That's one of my goals before baby number two and Joel is very anxious to get started on number two........
