I had a great valentines day being single. I had an insane amount of vday wishes from men and friends though! I wasn't sad or bummed out. I'm alone and happy about it 
Seeing Rascal Flatts on Saturday with a girlfriend--my first country concert an I can't wait!

I slept horribly last night but amazingly still feel pretty good today.
Only 30 more days until DH's paternity leave starts!!! (Sorry, this may be a recurring theme in the GNWs for the next few weeks...)

For me, my only problem right now is to figure out what to do with two weeks of unexpected vacation from work?? So I guess that is good news
Not so much since I (briefly) dated someone who wore tight jeans and cowboy boots. Mmm, he was so sexy but a bit of an alcoholic and an assshole. Got it out of my system for now but if another sexy man in tight jeans and boots came along, I wouldn't throw him out of bed!
I hosted a dinner for major donor's last Thursday and one of them mailed me a thank you card. I never get a thank you card -- typically I am the person thanking them! I am stunned and really pleased.
DH really surprised me last night with roses, rose petals, 40 candles, bubbly with a homemade dinner when I walked in the door from work last night. It was totally unexpected, we typically just exchange cards, and really sweet.
Someone tried to break into our garage last night but they didn't succeed in breaking the lock all the way. Apparently he's gotten four garages in the area this week!
Even better news is that early this morning they arrested him! Thank goodness because I'm home alone this week and I don't like the thought of someone coming back to finish the job.
Cheers to a really good neighborhood watch system!
I think I made a mommy friend today.
Also, my brother and sister are coming to visit on Friday!
I'm about to book our vacation to Alaska. I'm super excited.
Our shipment from England will arrive on Monday. I'm so ready to get W's crib and dresser. He's been sleeping in a pack in play for a month.

well its Thursday here now (I'm a bit late on this:)
but I went to a playgroup yesterday & there was some really nice PFTs there! I would definitley go again
and we go on holiday for a week in 2 days!!!! we SO need this - a bit of sun & relaxing will do us all well - can not WAIT, and best of all SIL and the ILs are coming too (its a family holiday) so we have a babysitter if we want to do anything on our own too!
Good News Thursday...
DHs tax refund will pay for our trip to Canberra with some leftover. Whoo-Hoo!
I found a Mexican restaurant to try while we're in Ballarat this weekend.
I might have a meet-up to go to in Melbourne on Sunday -- potential friends with no connection whatsoever to DH. Fingers crossed on that one.
