One Date Wonder Post f/up (kind of long, sorry)

So I posted about going on a date on Sunday evening with M, who's a sweet, funny, single dad but I didn't feel an attraction.  He texted me Monday night asking to go out again.  I didn't get the text until the next day because I had fallen asleep early.  I texted him back in the morning and said I had fallen asleep and was sorry I didn't reply (but didn't mention hanging out).

He said no big deal and said "you're probably going to get a ton of flowers on v-day from guys, huh?"  And I was like "ummm, no!"  So he said "well if someone were to bring you flowers, do you have vases at work?"  I replied that we did and thought "oh crap, he's going to bring flowers, oh no, oh no".

Not long after I'm busy at work and he walks in, all confident and looking super handsome (well he was just dressed in jeans a sweatshirt but there was *something* about him that was different to me), with a bouquet of white and yellow roses, and a beautiful vase.    He was like "Happy V-day, every pretty lady deserves flowers on v-day".  And then he strolled out.  I was stunned and all speechless and frankly giddy about it.  All the girls in the office were like "who's that??  He gets major points and he's so confident!"

So I'm going to go out with him again to dinner on Friday.  I'm still kind of in shock that I felt that way when I saw him because I was fully prepared to give him the "it's not you it's me" talk and make an excuse about having to study for the next few months.  In fact, had I not fallen asleep the other night I would have texted him back something like that.  Now I am glad I didn't and I'm looking forward to seeing him Friday night.  I may have been a little too quick to jump to conclusions on this one!
