Quit being chickens. TIP OOTD.

Do you like my disgustingly linty mirror (ftr, I cleaned that sh*t on Monday) and impossible to discern outfit? Of course you do.

I'm wearing a black and gray cardigan, a black shirt, gray pants and red flats. I'm super glad that one of the few things you can see is my untameable Jan Brady bangs, though.

Re: Quit being chickens. TIP OOTD.

  • Brocc, I love your hair!  I wish mine had an iota of life in it.

I'm posting this as an explanation for why I don't do OOTD.  This is one of the rare occassions when I stray from button down and dress slacks, and it's still so far from exciting.  Also, how do you not make yourself look chunky on the bottom in mirror pics?  Or are my hips just a lot wider than they are in my mind?

I'm scared that if I do OOTD I'll be motivated to buy more clothes (which happens once every few years) or I'll be mocked for always wearing my same 6 or 7 tops.

  • Broc, you are gorgeous. The flash is in a bad place to see your outfit, but I love your red shoes-- especially with all that grey and black.

Fein, you are teeny tiny. I love that green.

I absolutely refuse to post a picture of what I am wearing right now. I wish you had said something earlier. I looked darn cute last night!

I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
  • Broc, you look great! I love the red flats, where are they from?

Also, remember our plan a while back to do a TIP OOTD where we'd all dress in the most heinously imaginable fashion faux pas outfits and pretend we were serious, and thought we were super hot? I still think about that and laugh sometimes.

  • God, Broc, you are gorgeous. Are those flats from Target? If so, do they murder your feet?
  • Thanks for the compliments.  The flats are from Target.  Super compelling stuff.

  • Damn you people with your smart phones!
    Look with your special eyes.
  • I'd OOTD but I've gone back to wearing men's clothes. I know, I know, I went out shopping with Bliss, bought gender appropriate clothing, but that lasted maybe three weeks. I just wasn't comfortable. I have to just face the truth, I'm a tranny.
  • I am wearing red flats too! I don't think I can get a good pic, but I'll go try.

My photobucket is freaking out. No sure if this will work. Went for comfy today. Oversized sweater and stretchy black pants.

  • The lighting in my bathrooms at work makes me look like I'm wearing all black. I'll have to snap a picture before I leave the apt in the morning. I like this idea!

ETA - here's what I could get. I'm wearing a gray/blue sweater, gray khakis and red flats.

  • I wish I could see people's pictures here at work!

I also don't know how to post pictures.  I used to use photobucket, but I'm blocked from that now at work, plus I no longer use the e-mail associated with the account so I can't request to reset my password.

I look pretty boring today anyway.  We got to wear jeans to work today so I just have jeans, black boots, long-ish grey cardi with a bright purple cami under it.

  • Keepin' it stylish:

Light kelly green cardigan, light blue tank with lace edging, both Target

Dark wash bootcut jeans, also Target

Dark grey suede ankle boots, from Nordstroms

Small bird silver pendant necklace, Fossil

    Own it, Damik.

I am curious to see how those girly clothes looked on you. You never showed us, did you?

  • I posted on ML earlier today, but here I am again.

    Broc - cute shoes!
Fein - like the layers. You're so petite!
Motz - love the sweater, and your 'tude
Dog - I like the neck on your shirt

  • Motzie- I want you to take me shopping and teach me how to wear things. How was your sisters' weekend?

DL- Are you growing your hair out?

Well as I am d@mn cute, they did look good on me. But no, I never showed you. The pants looked better on me than the guy pants, but I couldn't wear them w/o a belt and the belt dug into my tummy and was real uncomfortable when I was sitting down. I'm just a creature of comfort.

I do sometimes wear baby dolls, so occasionally I'll have a gender appropriate top. Those definitely highlight the fact that I'm stacked.

DL- Are you growing your hair out?

Yes - kind of. I haven't really decided what to do with it, but I'm pretty happy with it at this length for now. I am not really fond of the chin/shoulder length hair on myself, but I'm getting kind of tired of the short hair.

  • Motz - That sweater is amazing, I want.

DL - I love your hair!

Calle - where do you find cute dresses like that?  It's awesome.

i don't remember where i got this dress.

  • All of you are so cute :)

  • Thank you ladies! I love your boots calle - I want to pull off this look, but I am too chicken to take the plunge. Halp!
  • I have no idea what OOTD stands for.    But here's what I wore today (the smile is for you guys):

    Outfit Of The Day

  • Its so cool to put faces to SNs!  We have a lot of gorgeous women here on TIP!

My OOTD is the same as it is every.damn.day - the SAHM "uniform" of sweats, t-shirt and sweater/sweatshirt.  Hawt, ain't it?

However, I recently decided to get some new clothes.  The Geekling has been kind enough to tell me that I have "holes in my elbows" whenever I wear my one sweater.  At first I was like WTF are you talking about?? and then I looked and sure enough, the elbows were getting a little threadbare (if such a thing is possible with sweaters).  And then I realized, um, well, yeah, since I've had this (and most of my other sweaters) for years and years - probably since not long out of college.  So, yeah, time to get new ones.

So, I dragged the Geekling out shopping with me and picked up a few new sweaters and tshirts and even splurged and got myself a few new bras.  The Geekling was very helpful in getting me out of my comfort zone and picked a light pink sweater and a red-striped 3/4 sleeve top.  Woohoo!  Now I just have to find something besides sweats to wear and I think the new wardrobe will be complete.  I'm thinking khakis but I want cheap ones because I don't want to be all bent out of shape if I get them dirty/ruined.

And don't worry... I never leave the house in sweats!
