has anyone eaten here? we keep seeing commercials and until recently the only ones nearby were princeton and wilmington. they openen in KOP in the fall. dh & I have been dying to try it, went to KOP sat and there was a 2 to 2-1/2 hour wait!!! people lining up outside to get in to stand and wait....

My husband and I have been to the Wilmington location numerous times, but only in the summer time when we can sit outside to eat along side the water. The crabs are good, and I love how the steamer pots includes sausage, potato, and corn. However, this is certainly not the best we've ever had. What makes it more enjoyable is the whole sitting outside in nice weather and drinking a Corona. And afterwards, we'll walk along the water before driving back home to Delaware Co.

Inside, it's just your typical cheesy chain restaurant...think TGIFridays with beach theme. And while the steamer pots are good, the rest of the menu is typical chain variety.

I'll ditto everything that SJU said. I've only been to the Lawrence/Princeton one and it's meh. Def not amazing like the commercials hype it up to be but we go and it's not too bad. Def not the best seafood we've ever eaten, though. It's just OK and I kind of think that everything tastes the same. We've gotten a lot of the steam pots and they all have the same taste. We go there for lunch @ work during the week sometimes.

I have only been to the K of P one, and was not overly impressed. Not to the point that I would never return. However, not to the point that I would run back. There are plenty of other places I would pick over Joe's. We sat at a picnic table inside, and the food was just ok.

Eh. It's okay. We went one night after my husband got out of work. (He is across the street from the mall.) It was so loud that it was difficult to hear each other at the same table. The wait was long. A friend told us it was loud, but wowza.

I've been to the Princeton one a few times.. not a huge fan. Chickies is way better, IMO.

I've never been but it's a chain restaurant so how good can they be? Would you say that Chili's has great Mexican or Olive Garden (with the exception of the bread sticks) has great Italian?

We went to the one in OBX this past summer and were not impressed at all. DH and I split some boat of seafood that he insisted on and it was terrible. I will say that I had a fabulous fruity drink, but it was like $16 for something I drank in like 3 sips (or maybe I'm a lush?) Anyway, it was definitely one of those things where I'm glad I tried to say I did, but won't be rushing to KOP to eat at one locally.

Also, friends of mine said they went to one somewhere where the staff was supposed to be as mean to you as they could? That wasn't the case in OBX, but I thought that was odd.

My friend is the manager of the Kop location so we went for the test opening. The food was good as was our server but it is VERY loud. They dance in the aisles throughout the meal as well which is fun unless you are trying to talk to someone! We will probably go back but not often. It's not cheap.

Ive been to dicks last resort where they are super mean to you. It's actually a lot of fun if you play along.

We went to the one in Kop last week, as my husband put it, "I feel like crappy comfort food tonight", crab legs are comfort food for us. We have been to several different Joe's around the country as they can accommodate our large family. John got food poisoning at this one, we won't be back.

My cousin and his gf just went there the other night. They got food poisoning. She ate at the KOP location. That was like a month ago, though. I've been too afraid to go ever since their glowing review of being that sick. Food poisoning seems like the absolute worst.
