Mom Doctors come in...

I feel really stupid to call my pediatritian and ask if she's sleeping too much.  But I think she's sleeping too much.  The past 3 days she's barely been awake much at all.  She went to bed last night at 8.  Woke up at 2:30 and 7:30 and 10 to eat and play a tiny bit, but basically she's still asleep!  15 hours and counting.  This is like the opposite of what I dealt with a few weeks ago where she would keep herself awake for 12 hours.  Maybe she is catching up?  She's eating fine and getting heavy, and totally happy while she is awake.  She's starting to spit up one really good one a day which is new but I guess normal (always right when I put a clean outfit on her).  So she seems healthy other than zonked out.  Is this one of those growth spurts?  I think yesterday she was awake a total of about 3-4 hours.

  • Zoe did stuff like this, too. I would just watch her and enjoy it, lol! Just weh you think you have them figured out, they like to change things up on you.  She also went through periods where she would spit up more than other times, but overall she wasn't a super spit up baby (which we were thankful of because her harness would've been nasty!!).

  • I would attribute it to a growth spurt or something like that.  Babies go through so many phases.  Try to keep her more upright for 30 mins or so after she eats if thats possible.  May help her spit up issues.

Enjoy all the sleep she's doing now!  Soon you'll be chasing her all over and wishing she would sleep just a little longer!  ha
