Oh hello, thank you note from my brother's wedding
it is a pre-written postcard.
no personal thank you.
no signatures.
no writing out our address.
Re: Oh hello, thank you note from my brother's wedding
I HATE that. I got a thank you note from a friends' wedding similar to that. Their wedding was on a FRIDAY! I had to take an unpaid day to attend your wedding and you can't even be bothered to write out my address or sign your name?
::eye roll::
Um that is tacky to the max and makes me insane.
I've got you beat. I got one for a DW that my hubs was a groomsman in AND we got them a gift for an at home reception! So that's $2K plus a gift (I refused to give them cash so I made them a wedding album) and you can't hand write me a TY note?!
I'm sure this sucks even worse due to the fact that it's your brother...
I've had this happen twice: once from a really close friend with the pre-printed postcard crap and another where we waited 4, yes 4, months to receive a thank you note from H's best friend's wedding. That one had a hand written, but generic poem inside and their names. And we checked with all our other friends and everyone's had the same thing written inside. (Really unsure what took 4 months for that!)
LOL this was 4 months after too.
hahaha,I concede. you totally win
This is popular in the area I grew up in. I haven't seen it done in a while, but quite a few bridal/baby showers I have gone to in the past have done this.
