I just posted this question on FB too so I am curious to see what responses I get:
Any must read book recs besides the two I always hear about (Water for Elephants & The Help, oh and anything by Jodi Picoult!)?
When I do carve out time to read, there is nothing worse than realizing I wasted time on a crappy book!
I personally recommend, "Memoirs of a Geisha". It was a great book!

One of the best books I have read it a really long time!
girl with the dragon tattoo - push yourself through the first few chapters and then it's worth it
cutting for stone - amazeballs. this is the only book my book club has ever rated "hard back" meaning the best rating it can get.

my read shelf:
I just read "Bossypants" by Tina Fey and it was really funny and a super quick read. It is especially good if you are a SNL/30 Rock fan. I loved it.
I also recommend The Hunger Games. I finished the first one and am over half done with the second one. They are a little disturbing, I think, but are good nonetheless.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan so those will always top my list.
I also like Mary Higgins Clark.
I just bought Twilight for my Kindle yesterday (because Amazon had it on sale for $2.99) but I haven't read it yet.
I love, love, LOVE Beverly Lewis (she writes books about the Amish people) and many of the other writers of Christian or Inspirational Fiction. One of my old favorites was Sophie's Heart by Lori Wick
The Duggar's have 2 books out and even if you're not a fan of their show or their story the books have a lot of good information about family in both of their books. One is called 20 and Counting and the other is A Love that Multiplies.
