Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Phone woes

I hadn't received calls/texts since 5pm. I get on FB and my brother tells me that my phone isn't working. I call my parents landline and get all my texts and voicemails while I'm on the phone with them.

 I hang up, text my mom as a test and she didn't get it.I call Verizon and after all kinds of trouble shooting they can't see what the problem is. I don't have a landline, so they're calling me at work tomorrow to try to trouble shoot some more.

In the meantime, I'm without any kind of reliable phone service. Even with H's work discount, we pay Verizon an arm and a leg each month. I don't want to pay for a landline that I shouldn't have to use.

*grumble grumble* Is this week over yet?

  • That really sucks :( I like Verizon (so far). I did try AT&T for a little while, it was horrendous. I really hope it gets fixed ASAP!

  • We went with Verizon since they have the best coverage and supposedly the best customer service in the area. In their defense, I really haven't had a major issue since we bought the phones until now and the tech was super nice.

    I just need to have a phone!

  • I have T-Mobile that still happens to me about once every 6 months, but only with texts.  Usually, if I turn my phone off and back on again it resets everything and fixes the problem.  It's just super annoying!

  • I have sprint and have terrible reception in my home.  I cannot hold a conversation unless I stand in the center of my driveway, which isn't pleasant in the winter.

    However, if my phone is messing up like your outside of my home, I remove the battery for about a minute and restart it and it usually works fine after that.

    same here!   I thought maybe it was just my particular brand of phone, but I guess it must be the service.
