So bf is not a man of many words. I knew this from the start, but he knows communication is #1 in a relationship for me, so he has gone outside his comfort zone many times when things need to be discussed because he knows it is important to me.
We decided to just do cards for Valentine's Day this year, because the move cost us some extra cash and we are thinking of buying a new mattress soon.
Anyway, last night I was buzzing around the house trying to get ds in the bath after tball practice and he was getting ready for his Boy Scouts meeting (he is Scout Master of a local troop), and he stopped me in the hall and said, "I want you to know I love you very much and I am so glad you and ds are here in this house with me now. I love having you here. I love my insta-family (that's what he calls him+me+ds+my dog+ my fish+ the snail that lives with the fish)." It so isn't like him to just stop and say stuff like that out of the blue, so it meant so much to me!

Aww, that's super sweet! And the fact he normally doesn't say/do things like that makes it so much more meaningful.
FF said almost the exact same thing to me last night. DS and I moved in with him last week and as we were going to bed last night he says, "I'm so happy that my family is here with me now." ::swoon::
