  • The Old Red Museum (the history of Dallas County and a very good museum) and the Sixth Floor Museum are within a block of each other in Downtown Dallas and are both very enjoyable.  You should definitely have some Tex Mex--try El Fenix.  There are many throughout the DFW area and have authentic Tex Mex.  You could also try Mi Cocina too.  There are many good, non-chain steakhouses as well:  Nick and Sam's, III Forks, Bob's Steak and Chop House.

My family and I like to go for drives to see houses, etc, when we go to new places.  Consider driving around the White Rock Lake area, on Swiss Avenue and in Preston Hollow.  I also enjoy visiting Southlake Town Square; it's an open area shopping center with good restaurants and shopping.

I'm a Dallas kind of girl, but Fort Worth's Sundance Square has lots of restaurants and bars too.  If you like seafood and go to Sundance, try Daddy Jack's.  Delicious crab cakes and some good food.

  • We're going to the Supercross this weekend too!
