It's that time of year again....
Are you joining a CSA? Which one? Is there one you joined previously that you didn't like?
We started a small veggie garden last year and now that I know how much I will get out of it, I'm looking to do a half share and a fruit share if available.

Re: CSAs
We already are signed up and paid for our fruit CSA with Northstar Orchards.
We belonged to Jack's Farm CSA last summer and had re-signed for the winter, but the farm decided not to grow for the winter, so we got our money back. I'm unsure if they are going to do another summer CSA or if they plan to just sell at local markets.
We did a half-share through Wynnorr Farm in Glen Mills a couple years ago. Last year we decided to just go to the farmer's market more often. I am thinking of re-joining the CSA this year, but I am nervous that sh*t will hit the fan once I give birth in August...I don't want to waste their produce or my money, and I'm just not sure what things will be like with a baby and how much I'll actually cook those first weeks.
So moral of the story, we will probably hit up the several farm stands and weekly markets in our area.
We did a half share of Anchor Run in Wrightstown last year. We are not renewing this year for a few reasons.. Partially because of the baby, and partially because we realized we are fairly picky when it comes to greens and wasted/gave away a lot.
Theres a good farmers market near me once a week that I am going to go to instead.

I think we may be doing this option, too.
I wish Northstar has more delivery sites. Horsham is the closest but it's out of my way. And they only offer the 12 week share instead of the 15 which stinks because I'd love to get some of the pears and apples in the fall. I may just suck it up and do it because I can't really find any other good fruit shares around.
