Calling home from Jamaica ?
Last time we were in Negril we turned on the International option on our phone plans, however, coverage was very spotty. This time we have a 1-year old at home that we'll want to call and talk to/about so we need dependable service. I'm guessing our best option is a calling card? I know nothing about this, so I'm curious if there is a certain one to buy or any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

So Tasty, So Yummy
3rd vote for Skype. You can also facetime, if you have apple products with you and at home.
We've skyped and facetimed to the South Pacific, and if the internet connection is good, it works out really well.
Unfortunately, Skype isn't an option being that the in-laws are completely clueless when it comes to computers :-( Thanks though. Guess we'll look into calling cards.
