Better living through chemistry
I am on one of the bcps where you only get your period 4 times a year.
Anyhow, I was just working and getting really riled up about some comments on a paper, and I thought, "Why am I so effing cranky today?"
Then, it occurred to me that I took my last active pill on Tuesday night and am into the placebos now, so my period should be coming any time, and I'm like, "Ooooooooooh yeah."
It's kind of nice that I almost forget about things like PMS!
Re: Better living through chemistry
I'm on the same kind of pill, and I agree! There's usually a moment where I get irrationally upset and I think "Wait, WTF is wrong with me? Ohhhh, pms...right."
The only thing I don't like it that it makes waiting for my period to start more nerve wracking because there's 3 months worth of chances to get pregnant rather than just one. But I'm still too much of a wuss to get an IUD, so I'll deal!
::jealous::
I'm thinking about talking to my doctor about getting on one like that
I was on Seasonique for 3 years, and until my last period I LOVED it (that last week of placebo pills was the worst PMS EVER. I got so irrationally mad I seriously considered stabbing B, and cried uncontrollably for a week. Wtf?). It really was nice to not worry about it for 3 months though, and I probably would have continued if I hadn't lost my insurance!
