Prenatal class last night went well. I didn't learn much that was new, but I don't think that trend will last too many classes. The chairs are terribly uncomfortable though.
Tonight is our postponed V-day, so we'll finally get to make that lasagna tonight.

So far, not bad today. I've only had to deal with 2 cat vomit episodes in the past 12 hours with DH out of town =( At least it isn't pee.
Today I have my OB appointment and then I'm going to get in a run, maybe do some shopping and just resting today. This is my day off that I begged for so that I wouldn't work 8 days in a row so I better take advantage.
raynes - I logged on this morning to see that carey is actually in labour and I just started to cry. I can't even understand what she's going through and I really hope she gets lots of time with baby Avery. So sad.
Good morning. Last night was nice and relaxing--I had dinner, called my dad to wish him a happy birthday (got some encouraging news--he's been having hip problems, but the doctor is now optimistic that he doesn't need a hip replacement), and had a great chat with both my parents. My sister also bragged that she was at Joe Louis Arena when the Wings broke the NHL record for home-game wins in a row. Lucky!
Tonight I have my creative writing class, so it'll be a quick dinner at work and then a few hours in class.

Sushi - Yay for doubling beta's.
Morning ladies. I ended up taking Christian in yesterday, and no ear infection. I thought for sure he had another one. It is still just a persistent cold that one go away. He just looks horrible, his face is so raw from blowing/wiping his poor little nose so much. So I kept him home from daycare again today and sent Zach. No melt downs for me today, it was much easier.
I actually just called the doctor for myself since I have been fighting this nasty cold for over a week now and I think I may have a sinus infection. Again, I am over winter and ready for spring. I need to air my house out.
Tonight I am hoping for a pleasant evening with DH. We had a little bit of a fight lastnight, and made up before bed, but still it just kind of dampered the mood in our house.

Good morning! Today is my Fake Friday. If work doesn't kill me first, I'm headed home to visit my sister tonight. I love a long holiday weekend. She is having a party for me while I'm there so I get to make a little money , too. Good thing since I got the upgrade to business class so it would be a cushy flight. If figure if I have to go all the way out to stupid Dulles, I deserve wine on the plane. I also get to see my BFF and her new baby (3 months old). I can't wait!
Little Bit actually took a swipe at Rex last night. I thought they were getting better, but now I'm worried again. It must be the day for cat puke - Rex hawked up a nice mylar filled hairball for us this morning. I've told him a million times not to nom nom on the feather toys, but he just won't listen.

I know. She sent me an e-mail (I'm her labour buddy) at 3:45am. I definitely cursed when I saw that this morning. My heart breaks for her.
To everybody else, one of the girls on our BMB went into labour yesterday. Her daughter has a fatal form of dwarfism and they don't expect her to live long after she's born, if she manages to survive the birth. So, any spare thoughts or prayers you can send out to little Avery today would be much appreciated.

Today is just a normal day of feedings, playtime and nap time. Hoping to get out sometime today and enjoy the nice day we are supposed to have! I think we will also run to the library.

Yesterdays dentist went ok. Preston's and Jordan's teeth are both healthy but Jordan doesn't have room in his mouth so they are going to pull 2 baby teeth next week. We go back in 6 months and they will pull 2 more. After the dentist I decided to go on and take p to the pedi for what I thought was a cold. Turns out we Are fighting a pretty bad case of RSV. So I took of today and tomorrow to stay home with him.
T&P headed little Avery's way.

Today should be a normal day at work. I can't wait for it to be over, it has been very hard to take these last 6 months. I am counting down until I can put in my two weeks, that night will be a day to celebrate!
I am putting the finishing touches on the cabinets to hang on Saturday. Once these are hung I will be 75% complete with redoing the kitchen. Since we moved in my goal was to have it done within one year of moving in, so I have months 3 to pick out the sink and counters! Let's hope DH and I can decide, he is terribly indecisive.

That's so sad. T&P for little Avery and her family.
Interviews with the new company's management went fine, but they still won't tell us if they're going to close our office or not. We should find out before April 1 what the plan is going to be.
Crystal - my DD1 has a very small palate. She lost all her baby teeth by age 8, and started getting permanent teeth in a huge jumble. They pulled 2 baby teeth and 4 permanent teeth in addition to (eventually) her wisdom teeth, since she only has room for 24 teeth. It all turned out great, and she has a beautiful smile now.
Lots of T&P's for baby Avery - very heart breaking.
LesPaul - Glad to hear it went well, however I hate the waiting game. We should be finding out soon the 2 people they are laying off. I am sick of waiting to hear whether or not I will still have a job.

Crystal, I was just like Les's DD. I've had a total of 16 teeth pulled, including 6 permanent teeth (and not including the wisdom teeth, which I guess would make 20). It wasn't the most fun experience as a kid, but at the end of the day, it all turned out just fine.
Today is off to a slow start. There was a medical emergency on the subway this morning, so it took forever to get to work. Hopefully, the person who had the emergency is ok. Last night, B and I went to see American Idiot, the Green Day musical. It was just ok. We got half priced tickets, so it was worth our time and money, but I think I would have been disappointed had we paid full price.

Good morning! Last night was extremely uneventful just dinner, a quick workout, and a took a bath and read for a little bit.
J didn't have to work today so I debated calling in sick but decided I better come in. I have a Young Professionals luncheon today at a sushi place that I've been looking forward to. Tonight will be a quick stop at the grocery store, a good workout, dinner, and an early bedtime.
I said a prayer for sweet little Avery and her family. Keeping them in my T&Ps today.
Last night I went to my first real choir practice since before Darian was born. (I guess I'm not really counting my December concert as a real practice since I already knew the piece... it was more like pick-up choir, haha). It felt so good to be with my friends, have my own time, and sing again! V and D had a nice boys' night too.
Today we've got a play date with a mom I met in prenatal class. Her boy is adorable, I'm very excited to see them.

Good morning! I have parent teacher interviews tonight. =( I'm SO not excited. I think I'm seeing 25 parents today (fingers crossed for freezing rain so they don't all show up), and there are several I'm not looking forward to.
I also got news from our union that they won't go forward with my issues with the other teacher. It's not a grievance, it's a workplace safety issue and they want mediation, except there ISN'T a mediator who works between unions, so I'm up the creek without a paddle. BAH.
I'll be thinking of Avery and the family.

Last night was uneventful, just school and home for a late dinner. I did manage to get 3 loads of laundry done yesterday though so hopefully it won't be too bad this weekend. H goes through a lot of clothes!
Tonight I'm hoping to get to bed early, coming back to work this week has me totally exhausted!
Poor baby Avery. Lots of thoughts for the family.
Uneventful evening last night, just hung around the house and talked to family about my new job.
Tonight I must get some laundry done for Vegas. I'm excited, Neptoon and I are trying to plan a Vegas GTG.

Today is a fake Friday for us! DH and I are supposed to head to Florence, Italy this weekend for a few days but are kind of on stand-by right now. Frankfurt Airport workers are striking and there are a ton of cancelled flights, so we are just waiting to see if ours is a "go" tomorrow. I really hope that everything gets resolved quickly.
Poor Avery that is so sad.

Also if your Dad does need to have his hip replaced my Dad had his replaced a few years ago. He can't play baseball anymore but to see him not in pain is amazing. It really changed his life for the better.
Today I'm working on a new job. A monster house in Miami. The part that I am working on is 28 rooms! It's crazy.

Last night was fairly quiet. My house didn't burn down and the chicken turned out quite good. Next time I'll have to use more BBQ sauce though. Today I'm working and I'll be leaving early to pick up my new glasses. I'm not feeling too great so I may leave early if I'm not better after lunch. If I'm feeling better tonight I'm making grilled burgers with asparagus for dinner. Have a good day ladies!
My thoughts are with Avery and family. I hope momma feels comfort in having her angel watching over her now. I'll be hugging Jackson a little closer for many days to come.
Last night I was up all night with sick baby. I knew this was coming when he started having a runny nose last week. DH is sick, too. I went from trying to get him to sleep in his bouncer, to sleeping on the couch with him on my chest. Finally got some sleep from 2-4 in bed, and then I had him on my chest again in the recliner in his room for the rest of the night. Needless to say, I'm home today to catch up on so much lost sleep.
Now it's time to go run some errands I've been dreading. Might as well make the most of being home.
I know, right!? Are you going to try to get tickets for next year's Winter Classic?
And thanks--I hate that my dad's in pain and the thought of surgery scares me, but it's great to hear that your dad's doing well after his! My dad needs to hear more stories like that (and so do I).

Today was insane...we had rumors of violence and weapons, cancelled our Winter carnival for tomorrow (which I have spent the last month planning), reinstated it later in the day, had an emergency faculty meeting after school....never have I wanted a drink more than today. Ugh. But things seem okay now. Wish me luck that tomorrow goes okay!
