Update on my mom
Her surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday at 6am. She will be in the hospital about 5-7 days before coming home where she'll stay at my brother's house for the next 2 weeks when she has a checkup.I'll be going down to stay for about a week to help take care of her at my brother's house while recuperates.
She's feeling much worse these days - in a lot more pain and much more tired. At first I thought it might be some placebo effect (now that she knows she has cancer, she can be a bit of a hypochondriac), but it does seem the tumor is growing faster now. My stepdad drives the school bus and she took a nap while he was on the morning run. She was fine when he got home, but she took another nap while he was on the afternoon run and when he got home, he said she was very gray-colored. It seems her heart is having more difficulties as the tumor is pushing on arteries and restricting blood flow.
We could use lots of continued T&Ps!!
