Where are you people!?!
I shut my thumb in the dryer this morning. It still hurts.
Re: Um, Thursday anyone?
I've missed you girls this week, but it's been pretty much the best week ever.
I'm excited about today, because I get to try some new stuff in this afternoon's boudoir session, and ESPECIALLY because we get to have dinner with our BFFs. We're going to Japanese Palace in Fort Worth, and it's one of my favorite places. Kind of in a crappy area of town, and there is 1970s porn all over the bar area (seriously) but the food can't be beat.
Chelsea, that place sounds interesting. Cant wait to see a new boudoir shoot either.
Angie - OW is all I can say.
Revenge was so so good last night.
Its not scary because the only people that get hurt are the ones that have done something really shitty in their lives, so normal people have nothing to worry about. Its more suspense than anything.
Angie, Revenge = Awesome! I don't think it would be scary at all. You should watch. And your thumb. Ow!
Chelsea, I'm assuming everything went perfectly well on Tuesday? Is Jack excited? The Japanese place sounds interesting. I may have to try it some day.

YES! Tuesday was absolutely perfect. The judge was way nicer than we'd been led to believe, and the process was super smooth. I'll be blogging a few pictures from the celebration tomorrow. Jack is telling everyone he sees that he's an "official McGowan forever". Kind of the best thing ever.
Re: Japanese Palace... it's been owned by the same family since it opened in the 70s. The bar is separate from the rest of the restaurant, and the porn is actually ON the bar, like, under the glass. You see it if you look down. The rest is your standard old school hibachi restaurant. I can already taste the grilled eggplant!
I wonder how crazy you have to be to be the mayor of Crazy Town.
I'm ready for tomorrow to be over so that I can enjoy my three day weekend! Wahoooooooo!
Tomorrow night, Bill has someone coming over to measure our house for the flooring. I might have to work a playoff game so I'm a little disappointed that I won't be there for the visit but I'm really excited that this will be happening soon!
I am super dooper busy again today so I will be on and off.
Chelsea, so happy for you! Yay for new floors and boo for hurt fingers!
This is a 3 day weekend for me too and we have our dinner at Ava on Saturday so looking forward to that. Oh and I can't wait to see the Mavs game Sunday with the arrival of Linsanity!

Chelsea,
I'm so excited for you guys and glad that it's finally over for you guys.
Stephie,
This is our Valentine's Day date too. We're going to the Alley Grill (I think that's what it's called) over by the Galleria. Then, Bill Pricelined (LOL) the Westin for the night.
I think we know how crazy you have to be and unfortunately we know her!
So, for Valentine's Day, J attempted to send me flowers, with my sister's help. Well, they never showed up. Yesterday, she called and called, and finally got ahold of them mid-afternoon. They were still scheduled to be delivered, but they'd "just gotten behind on their V-day deliveries" - hello, it's already the afternoon after the day! They were pretty rude & not apologetic at all, so she told them to cancel the order and refund the money... but they've still charged our bank account! Aside from the irritation of it all, and the fact that they charged extra for "holiday delivery" and then failed at that, I am appalled because I had no idea that a dozen roses delivered was $100.
But, this story has a happy ending... yesterday, my sis felt bad about the whole thing so we met for lunch, and she brought me Tiff's Treats. I just had one, heated up in the microwave, and it was amazing... especially with my little carton of free milk out of the employee fridge!
Where did J order them from? This may be why Bill never sends just roses on V Day!
What are Tiff's Treats? I've heard this place mentioned before but I know nothing about it.
Julie - you NEED to be introduced to Tiff's Treats, immediately. They are made to order cookies that they'll deliver - still warm - and they're amazing. The chocolate chip cookies are hands-down my favorites, ever. The chocolate stays melty even when the cookie cools off, and they stay soft for days - if they last that long! They also have snickerdoodle, peanut butter, sugar cookies, and several others... but, I never get past the chocolate chips. They'll also deliver a pint of Blue Bell to go with your hot cookies, and the ice cream stays frozen.
The flowers were from Teleflora - pretty reputable company, and my sis has been using them for probably the last 5 years with no problem!
Wow, that is surprising about Teleflora--I've heard of stuff like that with places like Pro Flowers, etc. I always use FTD and have never had a problem. Sorry you didn't get them Angie! That would have been a nice surprise.
LOVE Tiff's Treats. We get them for Wednesday snack up here sometimes, still warm. Sooo yummy. I wish I had one right now.
WHAT a day! I cannot wait to go home and get in my PJs!

Tiff's treats sounds amazing!
Angie- just an FYI Teleflora contracts out to local florists so it can be really inconsistent depending on which florist they choose. Also sometimes Teleflora will send the order out to a local florist who is still accepting orders in the system and then the local florist will electronically send back a cannot accept message AFTER the flowers should have been delivered. My old company used to be a teleflora authorized seller and we had SO many issues with the local florists. Not that teleflora shouldn't take ownership but just thought I would shed some light on it.
Teleflora does contract out, although sometimes they will let you pick from a few local florists or you can let them pick from one of their trusted vendors.
