My head hurts. I need a break...
So I am trying to apply for an internal job posting at my work. In order to reset my password to the internal posting site I need access to my work email. Tried to log in and it wouldn't let me. So then I called IT. After two phone calls I discovered that I can't have access to it because I am still on leave (the posting expires the day before I come back). Any how, so IT told me to call HR. I called HR and got voicemail, so I left a message over an hour ago and they haven't called back yet. My resume is saved on that site. Granted it is old and I can't afford to waste any more time, so I am starting from scratch. A friend of mine that is a recruiter said she would look at it and give me feedback. I need to get it to her tonight.
Any how, I am trying to put it together and it is just getting me down. I wish H was home so he could help me. Don't get me wrong, I know how to do it. I even volunteer at a community college to give feedback on thier resumes to a career class. It is just hard, it being my own. I'm a loyal employee (only two jobs in 14 years), so my work experience is short, but I have a TON of volunteer experience to add.
Thanks for listening. Time to put my big girl panties on and do it already.

Re: My resume sucks - minor vent
Sorry, I agree, writing/updating your own resume is hard. I always procrastinate and it seems to take forever. It's hard to "sell" yourself w/o feeling like you're bragging or not showing how amazing you are.
