I love tonight's episode except for the Rachel Finn thing. I loved how the god squad handled love is love! Why are they doing Rachel and finn? Isnt the show supposed to be about teen issues? Are there really enough teens out there trying to get married in high school to address this?
The songs tonight were great and I loved teen Jesus voice (who is he).
The whole korfsky thing was interesting and Mercedes nailed I will always love you.
My favorite sugar line of the night: maybe my dad can buy ireland!
Re: Glee 2/14 spoilers
LOVED IT
except finn and rachel
love the new dreadhead boy he was gorgeous
The new guy is the co-winner of the Glee Project. He and Damien, the Irish kid, who has been on won. Each got six episodes I believe.
I liked this episode except for the Rachel and Finn thing as well. However, where we are, there are many teens getting married. They usually wait until the summer after graduating from high school. I was baffled when we first moved here.
Also, what an odd coincidence for them to use I Will Always Love You in this episode.

I thought the same thing, but I wonder if they went back and added it?
Me too that and they dedicated the show to her. Although it was a show about the greatest love songs ever and that is a pretty iconic song.
I loved this episode. This is the Glee I love. It was funny, the songs were great, I just loved it.
I love Sugar Motta. I also love Teen Jesus aka Joe Hart. I really hope he gets to stick around past his promised 7 episodes from the glee project.
Glad to have Blaine back, I missed him.
The whole Karofsky thing makes me nervous. I have a bad feeling they are going to have that kid beat the crap out of him or he is going to try and kill himself or something. I really hope I'm wrong, I hate when Glee goes too dark.
The God Squad was awesome. I hope we get more of that.
Kudos to Mercedes for having some guilt about what she did. Its about time someone on this show did. She's not my favorite character but I really liked her this episode. And I actually felt bad for Shane when he cried. I assume we won't see him again.
Mike and Tina might be the most adorable couple ever.
I hope we get more of Rachel's dads. Loved them.

That was planned way before Whitney died. The songs are actually released the Friday before the episode, which was before Whitney even passed away. Plus, they announce the songs usually a couple weeks ahead of time. So it is definitely a coincidence. I did read that they decided to go back in and add the dedication at the end, but otherwise the song was already in the show.

Does anyone remember the pilot where Rachael talked about her Dads?
Here's the story, according to a Glee wiki:
Born on December 18, 1994, in Lima, Ohio, USA, Rachel was a shining star from the start. Her very birth was out of love, as Hiram and Leroy Berry, an interracial same-sex couple, wanted nothing more than to make their family complete by having a child. Her fathers proceeded to screen potential surrogates based on IQ and beauty, and eventually decided on Shelby Corcoran. Shelby agreed to the idea, as the money she received allowed for her to pay for her trip to New York in a failed attempt to be a star on Broadway. Due to them mixing Hiram and Leroy's sperm together with a turkey baster prior to conception, Rachel indicated in Pilot that she does not know who her biological father is. (However, since a photo reveals Hiram is white and Leroy is black, her biological father is
So now suddenly both of her Dads are white? I wish whoever is on charge of continuity on this show would sober up.
I'm not sure how I feel about Teen Jesus, but I still hate Rory. They made it seem like he was lying about being deported at the end there. He is just annoying. I was hoping he was leaving for real soon. I don't feel like he has added anything at all to the show.
I liked Sugar in this episode. She is funny. "PS My dad is not in the Mafia." LOL. Also loved Rachel's dads trying to reverse psychology the kids. I will throw things if they really get married though. Do not encourage teen marriage Ryan Murphy!!!!
I do have a feeling that Karofsky is going to get beaten or something horrible like that. The last few episodes have been a lot of fun, and I really don't like it when Glee gets too serious.
One thing that bothered me also: they never said who complained about Santana and Brittney. I had assumed it was Teen Jesus (who I am never going to call by his real name know, btw, even when I finally learn it), but maybe not since he was ok with it at the end.
Brian Stokes Mitchell is part black, they probably figured that was "good enough".

It never occured to me that Brian Stokes Mitchell was part black. I just had the picture from the pilot in my head where one of her Dads looked Jewish, and the other was obviously African American. The "joke" was that Rachael claimed she did not know which Dad was her biological Dad. I wonder if that whole scenerio was too un-PC for them to continue.
I agree with you, to a point. I really like the kid, and I feel he was screwed. He won a 7-episode arc on the show, and he's LUCKY if we get to see him in the background. I wish the writers would have showcased him a bit more, and actually TRIED to write him in. Right now, there really seems to be no point in him winning.
I loved his song last night, but it does seem it was in there only to gain pity, which is pathetic.
About the complaining: I thought it might have been Mercedes, since she looked guilty when they were talking about it. Then she seemed to brush it off on someone else. "Oh, I had concerns, because if we have my church back me us up, they might not like it." The new boy seemed to be like "Oh, I never really thought about it. I've never encountered it." That doesn't scream "I'm going to go complain about them" to me.
Yeah Mercedes was on The Talk and she said she actually met Whitney a few days before she died and thanked her for letting Glee use her song.
I loved when Brittney made the playlist for Santana, but had to stop because she didn't know how to burn a CD. Adorable.
I felt bad fro Shane and Krofsky. But I was glad to see it was him in the gorilla suit and not someone awful, like Sebastian.
I think it's great that Mercedes got to meet her, but it's Dolly Parton's song. She wrote it for "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" in the early 80s. It won the Oscar for Best Song and that's why it couldn't even be nominated when Whitney sang it in "The Bodyguard".
I do wonder if they're going to do more Whitney later in the season, because, so far as I can remember, this is the only song they have used that Whitney sang.
