it's not glamorous... (pip)
But it kept my 15 year old patient very warm. While this old lady was boarding @ my hospital, her body temp dropped super low, and she almost died on us, so I made her this little jacket.
It's not glamorous, but she seemed happier, and I think she knew it was made for her with lots of love. She has since passed

oooooh. it looks cozy.
That was very nice of you, and just her color!
RIP sweet girl.
I volunteer at a cat shelter & I cried when one of the cats in "my room" died a few months ago so I totally understand getting attached to someone's pet.
Glad to hear she spent some time at home and that her people were there for her at the end. (it sounded in your OP like she passed while boarding)
What a beautiful girl- and adorable in her little jacket. So sweet of you- just the type of person we'd all be lucky to have for our pets.
sorry for the confusion, she almost died while boarding, thus the need for her snuggie
so much respect for people who work with shelter animals. I always want to take the animal control animals home when they come to my clinic. Thanks for all you do for those animals.<3
What a nice thing to do. How long did it take to make? Its very cute!
Sorry to hear she passed away
It didn't take long at all,(under an hour) and it would have been faster if it had sewn the velcro to the proper sides the first go round! I used a combo of a pattern/tutorial I found and my dog's jacket. I would have loved to have made it all cutsie with a liner, but she was never the kind of dog to want to be dressed up, and I didn't want to waste my time making something she would be miserable wearing.
