Touch Museum

HI Ladies - I am a NJ nestie, I am bringing my daughter to the Please Touch Museum this weekend and wanted to go out for lunch after - are there restaurants in walking distance from the museum and if so what?  Can you let me know.

 TIA

Re: Touch Museum

  • "touch museum" sounds scary!

PTM has a place to eat in the museum. There is also a great cafecalled centennial cafe nearby. But there are no other eating facilities in walking distance.

  • You can also bring your own food in.

  • Thanks Ladies - If there is nothing else walking distance, is there anything close that we can drive to that you recommend?  TIA

Oh - sorry about the heading too - i should have written Please Touch Museum!

  • It's really located in the middle of nothing. It would require driving into the city, or the burbs, which opens a whole lotta options.
  • Ok could you recommend something that is good but different then a local chain that I could get back here in NJ?

I've never been myself, but what about the Pop Shop in Collingswood?

  • Pop Shop's a good idea.  Not sure of her age but if she digs chocolate, Max Brenner in center city is fun for kids.  I'm trying to think of something family friendly in fairmount since that's a good stop off point before heading for the bridge... Sabrina's Cafe?
  • I suggest driving back into center city. The Reading Terminal would be a fun option for you. They have tons of amazing no chain style food.  Another favorite brunch/lunch spot is Parc- it is right on Rittenhouse Square with a nice park across the street to walk through and lots of amazing stores nearby.  Plus they have really ncie high chairs for your LO.

  • I haven't been there in years, but I always liked The London Grill in Fairmount.  It isn't very far from PTM in a car
