What SO trouble are you getting into this weekend?
I am taking a trip back home to see my best girlfriends and I am so so excited! Slumber party with my BFF's tonight and huge girls' game night tomorrow night and I'm even bringing my mom along with me!
I cannot wait to see everyone and 90% of my friends have LO's so I'll get my baby fix too! Double bonus!
I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!

People are placed in and taken out of our lives for a multitude of reasons. My faith has me looking upward so I might stay on my path, forward to reach my future and to either side for the ones to walk near me on my journey.
Re: What SO trouble are you getting into this weekend?
Quiet night in with BF tonight, since we have a hectice rest of the weekend!
I have my second Brazilian scheduled for tomorrow morning (TMI, sorry). BF and I are going to an erotic art exhibit at a gallery tomorrow afternoon, then out to a 5-course wine dinner (YAY!!!!!).
Sunday, breakfast with BF's neighbors, then coming back into town for a mutual friend's surprise b-day party, then dance classes in the evening.
I have a first date tonight with someone I've been emailing with for a while.
Saturday I'm going to see Rascal Flatts with a girlfriend.
Tonight - dinner with BF's parents.
Tomorrow - I have no idea. No concrete plans. I want to sleep in, snuggle with the cat, tidy up the apartment, maybe make something in the Crock Pot or bake some cookies. Not sure if BF'll come over after his radio shift Saturday night. He needs to take care of a bunch of stuff around his apartment, so I'm anticipating he'll need the night off.
Sunday, he and I are going to a photography exhibit and dinner with another couple.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
this sounds extra fun!

I have dates Saturday and Sunday... the guy on Saturday is a second date and the guy Sunday is a first date...Im loving being single again!!
I am so excited for you!
What's he like? What are you going to wear? What are you doing?
You can't see me, obviously, but imagine that I'm grinning at you stupidly while dancing in my desk chair.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
I have a 5K race Sunday morning
I have a grad school test Sunday afternoon that is going to KILL me
I have a second date on Sunday evening
lol! He's coming on kind of strong, which is making me a little extra nervous. Like, texting me on and off all day. But he seems nice. I'm wearing black dress pants, a white button down with a black belt, long beaded necklace, and a purple drape-y shirt over the button down. And black boots. We're going to an Italian restaurant for dinner, and maybe out to listen to some music afterwards.
I'm really excited about it!
Tonight is a girl's night out! We're doing a spa night. Can't wait!
Saturday I need to work on getting stuff done for a baby shower I'm helping throw for my BFF in a couple weeks. Then Saturday night DD and I are going to dinner with my parents for my Dad's birthday.
Sunday will be a day of laundry and relaxing.
My sweet 8 year old neice is spending the night with me this evening! We'll go shopping and get our nails done tomorrow afternoon before I take her to a party at 2.
Sat. short guy is coming over for a late dinner after his shift at work!
Sun. packing in the morning and them off to Dallas Sunday night until Wednesday morning!!
Apparently K is coming here for the long weekend before he starts training for a new duty next week at a base closer to me - eep!
Tonight's going to be fairly low-key (dinner in, movie watching, etc.), tmrw day is museum hopping and then something secret he has planned for the evening, sunday is lazing about and the ZOMBIES!!!111!!! sunday evening.

Haha, ya, it does hurt a LOT, but I like the results and how long they last. So...I deal with it. It's supposed to get easier each time. We'll see. My esthetician (sp?) is a good friend of mine, and last time she broke out a bottle of wine to help numb the pain! This appt. is at 10 am, so I'm not sure if I can get away with having wine that early!
College baseball season starts today and Bf's cousin is on the team so his family is coming up to see it. I'll be meeting them for the first time today at the game.
Tomorrow morning/afternoon I'll probably clean, catch up on homework and then working the night shift and rest of the weekend. I can wait until my day off on Wednesday.
Maybe TMI, but it does get much MUCH easier over time. I've been doing them now for about 6 1/2 years, and unless I'm lazy and let the hair get REALLY long (like embarrassingly long), it doesn't really hurt anymore. It's not pleasant, but it's not the ohmagahd pain it was in the beginning.
In re: the pain now, I'd recommend popping a couple of advil about 30 minutes before your appt - that should help some. Also, MAKE SURE that your aesthetician is using hard wax. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT use strips in that area. I know several woman (and I've personally had it happen) who have had multiple layers of skin peel away when technicians have used strips instead of hard wax.

It's about an hour away, so I usually take Advil right before I leave the house. And she uses hard wax, not strips. She does like 4 or 5 of them a day, so she knows what she's doing.
Mimosas!! Perfectly acceptable at that hour! A good friend used to do mine and it was uber "invasive" since there was less of an embarassment factor. A$$ up, palms and forearms flat on the table... I still laugh at my tail being in the air and in her face on her table in the middle of her bathroom! I just made myself blush...
Now this sounds like a plan to me! Does the salon offer mimosas on the weekend?
NYG - my aesthetician in NYC actually became a very close friend of mine, and we'd do it either at my place or hers ($60 with tip for brazilian, underarms, and eyebrows - god, do I miss living in NYC). I remember the position you're describing VERY well!

I have DS this weekend, which makes my weekend trouble-free, but crazy busy.
Tonight we are having pasta night. I already made everything and bf just has to heat it up per my instructions before I get home. He is a little nervous to be "in charge" of dinner, but he is up for the challenge (and I made it SUPER easy).
Tomorrow morning, one of ds' friends from our old neighborhood is coming over to play and bf and I are cleaning out our garage. It's a mess from the move. Then a birthday party for one of ds' classmates in the afternoon.
Sunday we are going to my parents' so my dad and bf can help ds make a car for the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.
Monday, bf has to work, but ds and I are off so ds has a playdate scheduled with another friend from our old 'hood. The other boy's dad is going to take the two of them to the park to practice their tball skills since they just started the season. I may go get a mani/pedi while he does this
BF was really sweet this morning. He knows I've had a hectic week and that there is a dance class on Saturday mornings I like, so he offered to do something fun with ds so I could go to the class. Unfortunately it is the same time as playdate #1, so that is out. But it was so nice of him to offer!
