Has anyone ever tried it before? Did it work? I'm tempted to pick one up this afternoon.
Re: Neti Pot
I have one and I love using it, it really is a feeling of relief.
Tip: DON'T BACK OUT. It's not a good experience if you try to lift your head up in the process. Yuck!
Also: My friend said one time she did it and later she was sitting down and reached to grab something low (so she's in a low position, head lowered and leaning forward) and fluid came out of her nose. This has never happened to me BUT after doing it sometimes I can feel fluid later on in the day. (so don't be surprised)
That has happened to me to! I don't use mine too often, it tends to irritate my sinuses if I use it too much. Once in a while it is nice to clear everything out though.
LOVE mine. However, dh used it once so I refuse to use it again. Gross. And now the kids use it as a 'tea pot' in the tub
I want to get a new one though. They say to use it in the shower- it's less messy and easier to use there. Once you get the hang of it, it's no problem to use it in the sink.
Getting back to it- my diet and exercise blog
Losing it...Without Losing it
Just FYI, I only recently learned you're not supposed to use tap water with the neti pot - only boiled or distilled - because of a small chance that an amoeba in the water can get into your brain and kill you.

I was just going to post what cmkuno posted. Always make sure you clean the neti pot after eadch use as well...very important!
I love mine...especially when my sinuses or allergies drive me crazy....really helps a lot!
