Well I decided to wait to call the doctor until we get back from Texas next Wednesday. I did consider what Aliapistor said down below, about getting betas done in TX but I've decided to wait. According to FF, I am 5 weeks and 5 days along, but that would be with a 28 day cycle and I got a BFN on CD 35 so I don't really think I am that far along.
When I got my BFP the first and second time, both times the doctor took Betas and then did an early ultrasound around 5 weeks then took more betas, then another ultrasound. Honestly, I never felt like any of the early ultrasounds helped anything. They usually left more questions than anything. If, god-forbid, this is going to be another miscarriage, knowing my betas early won't stop it. Or, again god-forbid, if it is another ectopic then waiting another week isn't going to put me into a huge danger zone or anything, but will make it easier to diagnose. So I feel like it makes more sense to wait another week. I don't know if that is stupid, but it seems to make the most sense to me.
My question is, last night I woke up four different times with strong period-like cramps. There was never any bleeding or spotting, but I cramped all night long. I have been cramping this morning too, but very lightly. Is this normal for early PG, or should I be mentally preparing for the worst?
Thanks again for all of the vibes and support ladies!
Re: Not Much Of An Update...Also A Question
I can definitely understand not wanting to know any info that in the long run won't really tell you anything helpful at this point. Hopefully you're able to enjoy your time in TX.
Some people do cramp early on, so it is not a sign to think the worst.
I had cramping early on until about week 7 or 8 I think. They started off more frequently and then slowly disappeared. I totally understand your thought on the beta hell. I had my blood drawn early on soooo many times. I found out my numbers the first two times and I obsessed over them. I decided it was better to not know and just assume unless it was awful results then my doctor wouldn't call me. It really did help me to not know.
Hopefully you can stay busy for the next week or so and get a later ultrasound to see your little baby with a beautiful heartbeat.
All of this.
And I had cramping for the first several weeks of both my pregnancies, so I know that it cane be normal.
Fingers crossed for you..... hope you're able to relax a bit & enjoy your time in TX!

I felt crampy and premenstrual-like for days, maybe even a week or so post-BFP.
Sticky baby T&P!
Just wanted to add. I read in your TGIF post that you're exhausted this week. That is a good sign itself.
Crossing everything for you
