It's been slow on the board lately! Hardly any posts yesterday. What are your plans for this weekend? The weather isn't supposed to be very nice as I think there is a good chance of rain both Saturday and Sunday.
Tonight we are having dinner with friends. These will be the first friends that we tell about the baby. So excited to finally share our news with people.
Then tomorrow we will be seeing the IL's who fly in from MA. We will be sharing the news with them. They are going to be on the east coast at a time share, so we are driving over there tomorrow and staying until Sunday. Not sure what the plans are while we are over there though. Back home Sunday evening and back to work Monday. I don't have the holiday off.
Hope all of you have something fun planned this weekend!
Re: Weekend Plans
We are going to Weeki Wachee today (Zoe's Birthday!). It's probably going to rain, but we aren't going to be there the whole day anyway.
Tomorrow is Zoe's first birthday party! Yay!
Sunday - no plans yet but our parents and sister are in town and they are going to head to St Pete Beach for a couple nights. I think we are going to go out to dinner.
I love having people visit. It makes time stand still and we get motivated to do things we don't normally do.
April16 - How far along are you?
Jen - Happy 1st Birthday to Zoe. Wow. Time flies. I still haven't seen a picture of her
I know you didn't want to post them on FB, but I never responded via email to see one. Maybe I can see a 1st birthday party photo.
As for me, H has friends in town this weekend, so we are going to Sarasota on Saturday to hang with them at Siesta Key and have reservations at Libby's Saturday night.
Other than that, I'm going to catch up on sleep and be a bum.

Jen- Happy Birthday to Zoe! I can't believe she is already one! I also can't believe that Maisy will be one in a little over a month. What a crazy fast year this has been!
As for me, nothing terribly exciting. Birthday party for my niece at a mini golf place on Saturday, possibly hanging with the family afterwards. Then Sunday, H is going to work on constructing the wooden backyard play set Beckett got for his birthday. Hoping he can get it done, but there is a lot to it. Then for dinner, we are going to a Spaghetti Dinner to benefit the Shriners. My mom and her SO are Shriners, so we go every year with family and friends.
Happy 1st birthday, Zoe!
Carolyn, I am jealous of your plans to hang out on the beach with friends this weekend- that sounds awesome!
Our weekend is already two-thirds of the way over, but it's been a nice, low-key one so far. Friday night we just ate the leftover Indian food from Valentine's Day and curled up on the couch to watch a movie. Yesterday, DH and I went to Janadriyah, which is a big annual cultural festival in Riyadh. It is one of the only times that you'll see dancing and music in public here. We saw drum circles and sword dancing and the national security force's brass band (I seriously had no idea they even had one of those here). It was crazy crowded but interesting. It is one of the few times I have gone out in public and had my head covered the whole time.
Tomorrow DD has school, but we have off of work so DH I will be going to the dentist with DS (that should prove interesting) and then in the evening we have friends coming over to eat Thai takeout and watch East Bound and Down. Wild times I tell ya.
On Sunday I will have completed my 10th week. Seems like it's going to be forever until mid-September! I am ready for it to be here already.
No plans and I'm totally pouting about it. My R foot is ganked up so I'm not doing a long run, and that's quite frustrating. First weekend since August I haven't done a long run. I'll probably lay on the couch & pout most of the day. lol
Seriously though, DH has been working on his boat non-stop on the weekends so I'm free to do whatever (which is nothing). I seriously need friends in my zipcode.
How are you feeling? Any morning's sickness?

Happy Birthday Zoe!
I'm so jealous of the weekend beach plans. Especially, Siesta Key. I miss Florida.....sigh
We're going up to stay with my parents for the weekend. My cousin's baby shower is tomorrow.
Not yet - I go at 2:45.. I almost feel like I'm just wasting my time w/ this guy. I should go to a podiatrist, but there isn't a sports med one local, so i'll start here & hopefully at least get an x-ray. I really don't think it's a stress fx. I feel like it would be so much more painful if it was a stress fx. I really think it's just bruised, but i want to make sure before I start running again. this shiz is really annoying. I just want to ruuuun.
Happy Birthday Zoe!
Tonight: My friend Cindy decided to start trying various area restaurants once a month...we call it Cindy's Dining Adventures. Tonight is the 2nd installment.
Saturday: Working a bit in the morning at home, cleaning, and prepping for DS' birthday next week. Maybe watching Beginners in the afternoon while doing birthday party stuff.
Sunday: Church, brunch, more cleaning and prepping - woohoo! My parents are coming on Tuesday, so things must be a little better looking than they are now.
my read shelf:
Thankfully no morning sickness. Really the only thing I've noticed thus far is that I have to pee all the time (getting up in the middle of the night constantly), my allergies have been hella bad and I can't stop having a running/sniffling nose, and lastly I am hungry ALL THE TIME. When I do eat, I can't eat much at one time. But it seems like every couple hours I am starving again. At my last appt on 2/10 I had only gained two pounds thankfully. I already need to lose weight, so I am hoping not to put too much on with this pregnancy. I am probably 25 pounds overweight, so I wanted to keep the pregnancy weight gain to a minimum.
Happy first birthday! Boy the first year went quick. Seems like it wasn't that long ago that you were having her. Enjoy your weekend with all the family!
I live in your area, so I would love to hang out. But most of the time I have my 14 y/o teen age daughter! I don't think you would like that....lol
Happy Birthday Zoe!!
Saturday I'm going to a bridal shower for a friend who's getting married on St. Pete Beach in April. Can't wait to head down to your neck of the woods for that!
Sunday, DH is taking the twins to his mom's house for the day. I'm staying behind to have some quiet time and get some things done around here.
Monday, DH has off for President's Day. I think we are going to hit up an outlet mall.
