Inexpensive Girls Trip

Any recs for an inexpensive girls trip? Planning a long weekend (maybe red-eye Thursday night, leave Sunday) in June/July. One of us is flying from Houston and the other from Kansas City-area. Looking for somewhere we preferably do not have to rent a car, just a cool spot with restaurants, shopping/other entertainment. Nightlife not particularly important, I see us more wanting to go to dinner then hang out by hotel pool, etc. Thanks!

Re: Inexpensive Girls Trip

  • Sante Fe (fly into albequerque & take the train to sante fe)

    Nashville

    Jackson Hole,WY

    San Diego

    San Francisco

     Chicago

    Las Vegas

    Boston

Boulder, CO (fly into denver & take a super shuttle to boulder)

All of these are pretty walking friendly cities that would also have good taxi cabs or public transportation if you needed it. Lots of great food & shopping as well. Jackson Hole isn't very cheap to fly into but the rest of the cities typically are.

  • I'll say that Chicago may be out for now; it's not a cheap flight right now :O( we're watching flights to come to Houston in July for a wedding and they've get to drop below $350 r/t and have been sitting at $380 for the past couple weeks)
