Our neighbor, who is a middle school teacher, found out through a school email that kids were soaking gummy bears in vodka and getting drunk off of them in class. Naturally, our neighbor came home to try this and we were all very impressed by the gummy bear goodness soaked in vodka!
Also, my friend just posted this to her blog... Skittles Vodka!
And that is your UTD vodka report.
Re: vodka vodka vodka
This post gets

Do the gummy bears stay gummy or do they get smooshy?
Greeaaaaat, now I'll have to ban step daughter from eating gummy bears. Damn kids. Reason number 6457...
They do sound awesome though
I saw the gummy bear vodka thing, but I adore them each and would hate to think that I could ruin either by combining..
plus, hellatious calories, no?
One of our friends made rum gummy bears for our Halloween party. They were fantastic! And they didn't lose too much of their gumminess.
Word to the wise on the skittles and vodka, only do one flavor of skittles. My former roommate did it with an couple of packs of all of the flavors and it came out terrible.
The gummy bears we had weren't mushy, but then again we ate them pretty quickly!
The link says to separate the colors and only do one flavor at a time so they don't muddle.
I'm so happy it's Friday and I can try this tonight.
Oooh! How long do the gummy bears soak in vodka? The longer the better, right?
A friend of mine made the drunken gummy bears, and she let them soak in raspberry vodka for three or four days before she ate them. I want to try it!
