Cabo with less than 1 year old

I've never been to Cabo and my friends and I are planning a family trip with their LOs too, one age 1 year old by April and another 2 years old at least!

I'm worried about water safety for LO. Is this usually a problem there or am I just paranoid?
Anyone been?

TIA ladies!

Re: Cabo with less than 1 year old

  • I think your best bet is to follow the same dietary guidlines you would for yourself. Its probably a good idea to use only bottled water, make sure foods is cooked well etc. and you should all be fine...

I am also taking my little ones to Cabo at the end of the year for my best friends wedding. They will be one and half by then but it will only be our second time flying (Upcoming family trip to Hawaii w kiddos in May) and our first trip out of the states.

If you're still concerned another option is to talk to your pediatrician and see if they have any suggestions.

    Happy and safe travels!

Thanks! I guess I could go ask our Peds also :) I am actually worried about even the "bottled" water. LO gets supplemented with formula so I am worried about that. When we went to Asia, my MIL warned us that even "bottled' waters aren't so good so this is my concerned going to Cabo too. I'm not usually super paranoid but this is my little love we're talking about :)

  • oh and I'm actually in Renton too :D
  • Been to cabo several times with DD- she just turned 2- in terms of water safety it's no different then being at a pool at home- when we would go to the beach we would just put our chairs far from the water and make sure there was shade and we never took our eyes off DD.

For water we always stay at our timeshare which is part of a 5 star resort- never had any issues- the hotels all have safe water- we just don't drink the water or anything with ice in it out in town. We always go to Ssame club and buy lots of bottled water. Go have fun!!
