My husband has been either unemployed or underemployed for the last 4 years. He has a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and a Master's in Chemical Engineering. Unfortunately, he didn't find work right after his MS program ended (May 2008) and he's been unable to find work in his field since.

He's worked as a voter registration person, a security guard, and has been a SAHD for the last year. He's taken 2 programming classes in the past 3 months to try to get his resume more current, but it hasn't seemed to help. We've talked about taking more programming classes or going back to school for a teaching credential to teach high school math and science. He really doesn't want to teach, but it's a field I'm familiar with, so I guess I pushed that idea.
