How do you get rid of hiccups?
Usually I just let them run the course, sometimes I try the holding breath trick.
Re: QOTD
Once in a while I will hold my breathe and concentrate on the next hiccup coming and after a few times they tend to stop.
This is going to sound really silly, but my Filipino uncle (who claims to be a Leprechaun) has a sure bet to get rid of them.
You sit one the edge of a chair, cover your ear holes and nose holes with your fingers, and take a deep breath and hold it in. You then immediately bend over and hang your head below your knees. Sit like that until you have to take a breath. If it's done correctly, they'll be gone.
Forget hiccups. I want to know more about this.
