Healthy shake recipes

I'm in a shake rut. Breakfast has been consisting of:

half cup almond milk

2 scoops vanilla whey protein

1 banana

3 handfuls of baby spinach 

4 ice cubes

I'm bored. Does anyone have shake recipe inspiration?

  • SO many things you can do to switch it up!  Change the fruit that you're adding.  I like to toss in approx 2oz of blueberries to my shakes mainly because they're higher in antioxidants & lower in natural sugar than bananas.

    Change your protein powder flavor.  I was on a vanilla kick for months and then tried a milk chocolate flavor just recently.  I was amazed at how that switch alone changed my shake.

    Add 1tbsp of natural pb or almond butter.  A great combo is blueberries or raspberries + pb = pb & jelly shake, mmm :)

    You can even steep oats and then add the oatmeal for texture.  Add some honey for sweetness. For tang, you can add greek yogurt in place of the almond milk. 

     

  • Your shake does sound good, though! We do:

    banana

    cookies n cream protein powder

    milk

    ice

    flaxseed
