I'm exhausted.. I slept much better last night but had a busy day so I'm just tired. I'll probably be heading to bed here in the next 1/2 hr or so.

I think I did that a couple times while I was pregnant. If he was sick I would definitely be kicking him out of bed.

I just felt bad... because the couch isn't super comfy and he has to go to work for a full day, where as I can take a nap if I really need to. So I told him if it's bad that tonight he's getting kicked out since he can sleep in tomorrow morning or take a nap if he needs to! lol.

Sounds like a good plan. The only person that kicks anyone out of bed anymore is Edmund. Since he some times sleeps in bed with us and even with a queen sized bed there isn't always room for the 3 of us.

haha... this is why some days I think we should have gotten a king size bed. I'm glad we didn't because right now in the house we live in we'd only have a bed and no dresser in our room though..

We have a queen sized bed, 3 dressers for us, his dresser/changing table and his crib in our bedroom. There is almost no room for us to walk.

Yikes! I'm sure that without the extras in there you'd have a decentish amount of space though?

We probably could have but we didn't expect to be sharing our bed with a baby. I never thought we would let him sleep in bed with us.

I grew up in a large family with lots of younger siblings so a lot of it for me isn't anything new.. it'll be different now that it'll be my own but not new by any means. Whereas for DH he's going to be in for a huge learning curve! It'll be interesting to see!

I was 1 of 2 kids, unless you went to my dads house and then I was 1 of 5. My grandparents house was big and had plenty of room. If we had lived with my mom my sister and I would have shared the spare bedroom in her apartment. If we went to my dads house we slept on the couch or shared beds with my half sisters since they didn't have room for us. It was really interesting with 5 kids running around their house.

I'm sure especially going from 2 to 5!

I know when I met DH he is the oldest of 4 and I was like seriously this is so boring there is nothing going on here at all! Compared to my family, where I'm the 2nd oldest of 11 kids lol Smile always something going on or noise of some sort!

I was neighbors with a family that had 11 kids. I didn't really know them anywhere except from the grocery store that they shopped at and I work at. One of my good friends is the second oldest of 14 and things are always crazy at her parents house. She has 2 kids now and they are looking forward to having a large family. Her husband always aid that as a kid he was mad at his parents for only having 2 kids because he wanted more siblings.

I think for people who don't grow up surrounded by it it's hard to understand. Some who grow up with it resent it if it's a bad family situation. That being said I think there is definitely pro's and con's to large families but I loved it.. which is why I'd like to have at least 1/2 dozen myself. Smile

We want 3. I have 3 sisters (1 full and 2 half) and a step brother and H was an only child. My dad can hardly keep up with the 4 of us, we range in ages from 25 to 13, and I'm not sure I could handle anymore than 3. If our second child is born with the same issues that Edmund was born with we may stop at 2. I'm not sure I could do that 3 times. I'm not sure some days I can handle doing it a second time.

Take it as it comes, one day at a time. You can't expect everything to just magically happen the way you always want it to.. Life isn't always easy.
