cyclists - thoughts on this bike?
Bike here
Hubs and I used our babysitter time a few weeks ago to go to some bike shops and do some test rides. I haven't been on this actual bike, but I did get on a Fuji and know this is the right size for me.
Re: cyclists - thoughts on this bike?
I think it's fine! I've heard (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that you get more bang for your buck with Fuji. I'm looking into some Fuji bikes as well in the coming months.
Personally, I would save more money and opt for an all carbon frame. But it's not necessary.
Is the geometry the same as the Fuji you rode? You'd need to check the specs. Just because it's the same brand doesn't mean the sizing is the same. I'd buy from a local bike shop. Buying a 'nice' bike online is a gamble.I highly recommend that everyone buy their bike from the local bike shop, especially if it's your first "nice" bike. FWIW, I have never purchased a bike online. I like knowing that my local shop stands behind the bike. I get free lifetime adjustments. I know they will repair it when it breaks and will contact the manufacturer for any warranty issues. No online retailer that I know of will do all of that.
Fuji offers good bikes at good prices.

Yeah, the guys at the shop already said they can't match this price, but if I get they'd be happy to fit me to it once it gets in. None of the shops around me had a huge selection of beginner kind of bikes, so I was impressed at the quality of this one which was less than some of the intro models at the stores
