I have a hand me down arms reach mini, but am missing 2 parts to make it a cosleeper, so I use it as an extra bassinet.  J is rapidly outgrowing it (he's already 27 1/4" and 18 lbs).

Do you think a.) it's worth investing in the original instead of the mini to get more room (or just buy the 2 parts from the manufacturer for the mini? b.) I've read conflicting things about its safety for older infants-  in your opinion, would it be safe once J  rolls over, which he may do any day now and c.) my bed frame goes around the box spring- would I be able to use the co-sleeper in my bed, or would I have to move into the guest room where the frame doesn't jut out?

Thanks!

  • Avery is 12 lbs 9 oz as of this morning and 23 inches long she's got about 3 inches to go on either end before she's officially too big for it. The strap that clips onto the cosleeper goes just underneath your mattress so I don't think it would be affected by your frame. We have the crappy metal frame that came with the mattress under our box spring. I would double check the Measure nets of the full cosleeper since  you have a bigger baby just to see if it makes sense  bc I don know if It makes sense to buy a bigger one if it's not big enough KWIM

  • Also as far as rolling over I'm no help since she'll probably big too big for it once she starts to roll over
