For those that looked up the Metlife dental thing,
How did you look up to see whether or not your dentist accepted? If you used the website, did you select PPO or HMO (I don't know what ours is!) Thanks
Re: For those that looked up the Metlife dental thing,
PPO.

Mine is not
I called today, and while they're aware of the change, they're not sure how it will affect tricare patients. Their other metlife patients have the ppo plan.
Also, my cleaning is literally a week after the change. But, due to the tricare apparently very literal once every 6 months rule, I can't schedule it for the end of April to make sure I can see my preferred dentist before the switch. They're going to call me back in April to let me know how it's all going to shake out since they seem almost as in the dark as I was. How is it that the only notification I've had about the switch was from this board?
Yeah, I am surprised this wasn't advertised better. I found out on the spouses FB page for my husband's squadron. The post I read said that families must enroll with MetLife between March 21 - May 1st to ensure there's not a break in dental coverage. When are they planning on letting everyone know? That's coming up soon.
