Healthy soft food options
i had work done with my braces and had elastics put on but eating is super hard. smoothies are out because the cold hurts so what can you ladies think of?

Cheerios. Just let them dissolve in your mouth. I lived on them for several days after each of my expanders.
For more meal-like food: mashed potatoes and soft fish (not much chewing needed)
scrambled eggs and soup got me through my root canal. not at the same time though - that would be gross.
