I'm so glad they picked IvyLynn to be Marilyn. After the first episode, I was wondering WTF anybody would pick Katherine McPhee over her. KMcP doesn't look or sound anything like Marilyn.

Since it's clearly a vehicle for McPhee, I think they will probably make her an understudy and then have Ivy break her leg, Carol Haney style.

Does the lighting on this show bug anyone else? I only watched the first episode but I noticed that people's faces seemed to be in the dark and the space around them or behind them was really bright. I kept wanting everyone to step forward 2 feet so we could see their faces.
I had zero desire to watch the second episode which is actually good because I watch too many shows as it is.
I hate to admit that I really like this show so far.

I'm kind of in awe of Katherine McPhee. I didn't realize she could act and I really like her character on the show. And I'm totally jealous of her because of her hot, accented, incredibly perfect boyfriend.
I also just realized when googling her that it's been ten years since she has been on American Idol. Crazy.
The girl who plays Ivy bugs. I like her singing and I like her as Marilyn but I don't like her acting as Ivy. She comes across as not realistic enough for me, like she's forcing it or something. But I really liked the song she sang at the end of the second episode.
