I was wondering if anyone had any good books/blogs/resources on low glycemic index/load eating. I'm not doing it as a diet, but rather at the recommendation of my CNM due to starting TTC soon (lots of research about sugar-load in pregnancy, apparently), a strong family hx of type II diabetes in the absence of obesity, and just for overall health. I'm not interested in "diet" books or those geared towards losing weight (although lord knows I need to lose some... I just don't want that to be the focus).
We already were eating somewhat low GI before I even knew what it was. We rarely eat pastas/potatoes, etc and we eat whole grains when able. I put some books on hold at the library, but I'm wondering what else is out there! Thanks!
