AW! My sister finished her first half today!
She was amazing! She was aiming for 2:15, but I was sure she would finish before that since her training paces have been so good. She finished in 2:08! I was so thrilled when I saw her coming to the finish! Not only did she get an amazing time for her first half, but she also blew her 5k and 10k PRs out of the water during the race. Her 5k PR was 32:05, and she crossed the 5k mark at 28 minutes. Her 10k PR was 1:06, and she passed the 10k mark at 58 minutes. I am so incredibly proud of her!
On top of that, I got to meet RunBlondie! I spotted her in her Snickers Marathon shirt after she finished the 10k, and we talked for a few minutes. She is very sweet and an amazing runner!

Holy crow! She SMASHED her goal. That's incredible, she PR'd the entire way!
And you're way too kind. I'm blushing. Thank you so much for stopping me on the way out. It would have been disapppointing not to meet. You look fabulous btw, and hope the baby keeps treating you nicely
I'm so glad it went well. She's surely got the half marathaon bug now. Hopefully we'll meet again soon!
