I have a work potluck this week and there are a couple people with ciliac, one on paleo, and lots of vegetarians, so I'm looking for something that everyone can eat! (This also happens to be one of my favorite salads.)
Ingredient List:
-
1 tablespoon butter
-
3/4 cup almonds, blanched and slivered
-
1 pound spinach, rinsed and torn into bite-size pieces
-
1 cup dried cranberries
-
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
-
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
-
1/2 cup white sugar
-
2 teaspoons minced onion
-
1/4 teaspoon paprika
-
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
-
1/4 cup cider vinegar
-
1/2 cup vegetable oil

ETA: I also usually add sliced red onion and diced apples.
Re: Is this recipe Paleo?
Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
I would serve the dressing on the side anyway... maybe I could bring a balsamic vinaigrette as an alternative. Would that work?
Sorry, I didn't read the link to see that the sugar was part of the dressing. Then yes, that would work. Although as someone already mentioned, you should use olive oil instead of vegetable or canola oil.
Here's a link to some simple dressings that would also work
