Fridge/furniture recs

I would love to know if anyone can recommend a particular appliance/furniture dealer. I am in the market for a fridge, couch, TV and stand and dining set. Sigh. Anyway, if you have locations recs I'm all ears. TIA!

Re: Fridge/furniture recs

  • We got our stainless steel fridge, dishwasher and stove at Dent & Ding on Reno. It had very minor cosmetic flaws, but we got a great price! I would highly recommend checking it out. As far as furniture, I think all of the big stores are pretty similar... We bought a bunch of stuff at Galleria and have been happy with it. For higher end stuff, I'd go with Pottery Barn.

  • We just bought a fridge from Hahns. They beat the competitors price, but we've had the thing for two days and we have already ran into a few problems. They have been extremely unhelpful. So I don't recommend them.

We also just bought living room furniture. We shopped every furniture store imaginable. I'm picky and cheap so it was a difficult process for us. We ended up getting a great deal at Marquis in Edmond. I guess they are shutting that store down so everything was marked down and there wasn't much of a selection. We lucked out and found a great 100% leather set that was the price of the bonded leather everywhere else. I'm not sure what's left now, but it might be worth a shot.

I always recommend Stuarts in Yukon for furniture.  I like that he has some main stream stuff you can find on furniture row but he also has different stuff that you won't see everywhere.  I bought my TV stand there and many other things.  It is small, solid wood, and heavy for $250 I think.  The owner, Pat, is typically the only salesman in there.

I agree about Hanhs.  I bought my new range there because the price was much cheaper but the customer service at the OKC store is CRAP!  I went through all kinds of trouble trying to get my griddle replaced until I called the Tulsa store.  I had a new one shipped to my house 2 days later after previously waiting 3 weeks.  Now, I have a service call for the range tomorrow so we will see how that goes. (I called the Tulsa store to schedule that too after getting no help from OKC.)
