I just viewed my blood test results online

All of my blood work came back as negative for the arthritis. Great, but now we'll have to figure out why I'm in pain. Fibromyalgia?

I'll get some more answers on Friday, I hope! Today I was hurting pretty good, so I'm ready to get going on some pain management.

  • I'm sorry you don't have the answers you need yet, but I'm glad it's not RA. Stay positive...you're on the path to treatment, and your life allows the privilege of medical care. What did they specifically test for? When I was tested for RA, they also tested for lupus (because I have Raynauds Phenomenon, which can be an early indicator of RA and lupus). Keep us posted! Muah!

I will! Thanks so much :) I know we'll figure this out. It's just one more thing I can scratch off our list.

  • I am glad to hear it's not arthritis, that is almost impossible to cure or reverse and can be so painful!   I truly hope they can figure out what it is and that you can find the right pain management that works for you, I hate to hear that you are still hurting.

Hope the next news you get has more answers and relief!

    This! Good luck!

  • I hope you find some answers soon.  It can be hard to pinpoint these types of symptoms.  My sis had these same symptoms and was tested for RA- came back negative.  Hers was so bad she couldn't even open a closed door, sometimes couldn't even get out of bed.  Turns out she had Parvo Disease, which causes RA symptoms, yet she didn't actually have it.  They treated her as they would for someone with RA to help suppress the symptoms until the symptoms went away for good.  I think she had the symptoms around 6 months, maybe longer.  She saw quite a few docs before one finally thought to test for this.  I hope you start feeling better soon.

  • I will be praying that you will find the answers before they give you a bucket-term diagnosis like fibromyalgia. (Sorry but that is what they consider that condition to be when some doctors can not figure out overall pain. It really does exist but may be over- diagnosed)

Just a suggestion but try an elimination diet. It make be something you are allergic to which is causing the pain.

    Good luck love!

  • I'm sorry you're not feeling well, Otter.

I was going to suggest what Jade mentioned also if all of your tests come back negative.  One of the main symptoms of my food allergies/intolerances/sensitivities is joint and muscle pain.  My whole body just hurts like the flu if I catch a trace of an allergen.

It may not be this, but it might be worth a shot to try it out and see if it helps or rule it out.  I always suggest it to people because when I was sick I had no idea it could be food and my symptoms were random and all over the place.

Good luck and I hope you get some answers soon!
